Ground Maintenance.

Drove past last night just gone midnight and all 4 Floodlights were fully on.

Then later at 0110am, the floodlights were switched off but there was the now usual bright glow rising from the pitch.

However, what caught my eyes at the STFS / AKTE outside section were the maintenance guys finishing up and the area from where the matchday burger kiosk is situated and then down the mural to the mural side AKTE entrance, the ground had all been excavated, fenced off with scaffolding against the AKTE entrance.

Anyone know what's going on?

I have no idea what it will be used for though.

Yeah, I know about the Heat Lamps but it was the fact that a sizeable area of the outside tarmac had been excavated that piqued my interest.

Will it be the plant area for the new solar panels which are going on the roof? Battery storage also?

Nothing exciting unfortunately. It's for storing the batteries which are linked to the new solar panels going on the AKTE roof. My father-in-law is an ex fireman and he does all the fire safety risk assessments at Deepdale, training grounds and various club properties and accomodation.

Does this make me officially ITK 🤣
