Aberdeen keeping an eye on Liam Lindsay and are looking to do a deal in January
Selling Lindsay and getting a new centre back would be absolutely brilliant business.

It would be but it would depend on how much we get for him.Selling Lindsay and getting a new centre back would be absolutely brilliant business.
Been a great servant but if we can bring in a good young replacement we have to start selling players.Aberdeen keeping an eye on Liam Lindsay and are looking to do a deal in January

I would be a little surprised if they could match Lindsay's wages, but I'd be very open to selling and reinvesting if they can.

I agree, just think we have enough of those "great servant" players at the moment and need to replace a couple of them, Lindsay being a good example.

An upgrade on Lindsay would allow us to consider Gibson as a first choice LCB long term too, Hughes isn't getting any younger after all, and we wouldn't have the concerns about Gibson not being the best in the air as a central CB.
Having Gibson and Offiah able to step out and distribute can only be a good thing.

Think Gibson better in middle from what Iāve seen this season. An upgrade on Lindsay would allow us to consider Gibson as a first choice LCB long term too, Hughes isn't getting any younger after all, and we wouldn't have the concerns about Gibson not being the best in the air as a central CB.

Iād rather Gibson be kept in the middle, a cb similar to offiah on the left to eventually replace Hughes is needed! An upgrade on Lindsay would allow us to consider Gibson as a first choice LCB long term too, Hughes isn't getting any younger after all, and we wouldn't have the concerns about Gibson not being the best in the air as a central CB.

If thereās any truth in it we have to try and get him gone.
Thereās no loyalty in football and as with Ledson, we thank him for his service and say goodbye because ultimately he isnāt good enough and the quality gap is so evident when you watch Gibson and then watch Lindsay.
I know PH said weāre lucky to have Lindsay but I feel Lindsay has been more lucky to have us as I donāt think heād of had a Championship career as long as he had without us.

I wouldn't be getting my hopes up given where it's come from. But hypothetically, yes it would be good to move him on and get a bit of cash in to bring in a better replacement. If thereās any truth in it we have to try and get him gone.

I'm sure most Championship club supporters would say similar about some of their own players. If thereās any truth in it we have to try and get him gone.

I'll listen to the managers take on things before those of the supporters.
Anything above about Ā£100 would do for me. And yes, I know there isnāt a ākā there. That may sound like Iām being rude about big Liam, but that isnāt the case. Heās a fairly big earner I believe so getting this off the wage bill should enable us to bring in a young left footed CB, like another Offiah and still be in pocket. When a player is a higher earner, we canāt be asking too much in terms of transfer fees.It would be but it would depend on how much we get for him.

I didnāt call him names⦠but a high earner (who is a back up player!) that isnāt getting any younger off the wage bill has to be viewed ruthlessly. I donāt think Liam is crap like many others, just a pragmatist.Yep!
