Although signing him when he was injured long term was an appalling decision.

It’s good to see him on the grass, hard to see who he pushes out the team when he is eventually ready to play, but the depth in that midfield is crazy if injuries come about we aren’t short on players to step up.

I think that’s the one thing this season I’m not worried about, and that’s an injury crisis really screwing us over like last year.

I know he’s a defensive midfielder and can play left back. No idea really if he’s any good tbh.

Anyone know if he’s he able to cover at LCB too? That might come in handy.
 
Think a lot of people don’t realise how gruelling a championship season can be. Injuries, suspensions and lack of form will mean everyone gets a chance.

Anyone who’s ever done anything in this league has had miles more depth than we’ve had in previous seasons. This year seems slightly different. Still need a ST and WB in Jan like. (Lcb as well if we’re being greedy).
 
With him being a PH signing, I can see this guy leapfrogging Thor as Whiteman's understudy.

Great to see indeed. Very good reader of the game, and has pace, reliable with the ball and puts in a good shift.

I like Thor, but I'd rather Thompson be used as a substitute than Thor as I think Thor is awful when coming off the bench.

I don't have issues particularly that we signed him when injured. Teams sometimes do this if the expectation is they'll be back soon, so it was a bit blown out of proportion. The issue was the original scans being inaccurate. But least it was a player on a free, and not an expensive signing.

Doesn’t sound like he’ll be first choice but might be a useful player to have if he can cover a few positions. Bit like Potts, but left sided.

Would rather have him on the bench as midfield cover than Potts. He is a decent player.
