So in the last four years we’ve had three loan players and a player currently struggling to make his way in the game named as young player of the year.

Our current youngest permanent player is Gibson at 25. If we go down next week and Hemmings/ridsdale are still here next season I can see us dropping down again. We have an old squad with hardly any re sale value.

For example I really like evans but he should have left two years ago. Instead we keep him around as if he has got some loyalty card.

It’s really scary the state of our squad.
Ched will be good in league one. Scrappy and can probably score in a few.

Why was Ali giving him one of the awards? Captain next season?

Potts, Evans and Woodman were giving them out last year.

Also, mad how we're about to release last season's Young Player Of The Year winner and England u19 goalscorer.

Not quite as mad as what happened with Dolan. Our pathways need to have all the thorn bushes burnt off them and then be resurfaced, with some sign posts.

We're doing reasonably well as developing loanees from Prem clubs I would argue, but pathetic with our own youth policies.

If he'd stayed here he would likely have done exactly the same as everyone else after they turn 19. Unused sub at best. Far too many players ahead of him at the time anyway though, and the IoM wouldn't sanction any youth contracts that year because all football was cancelled due to Covid.

Just because things have turned out well for him at a club brilliant at developing and supporting youngsters, doesn't mean they would have done here. We struggled to help support our club-record signing settle.

Personally I don’t think it’s mad at all

Clearly has an attitude problem.
Struggling in Ireland.
Can see him in the conference in a few years or lower. Similar to mickey O’Neil.

The youth system is a disgrace anyway but him getting young player of the season last season is as pointless as ledson getting player of the season in the 20-21 season.
