Loanwatch 24/25

Loanwatch 24/25

Noah started tonight in the EFL trophy and has been mentioned positively a few times on their twitter feed.. They're 1-0 up despite being down to 10, and seems he's involved in a lot of their attacking play

"Mawene's flick-on header releases McLoughlin, but his cross is blocked"
"Mawene turns his marker, gets a shot on target, but Day parries clear"
"Kieron Evans skillfully flicks the ball through to Mawene, but his shot is blocked"

Been watching their game on Sky+ (which I've got to say is so much better than Ifollow, and great for catching games like this) since the 65th minute. Newport went down to 10 in the first half, and I turned on when it was 1-1. They've since gone 2-1 down, and look knackered, but Mawene is putting himself about, still looks sharp, and is popping up at both ends of the pitch despite obviously being absolutely shagged. Credit to him - he's putting the graft in. Crowd is just over 1,000 too, so good experience for him.

So exciting to hear we might have a real player on our hands.

Leigh sounded very promising when he was at Bromley last season, it was a shame to see him depart really.

Kamara and Cross-Adair both start this afternoon. No sign of Mawene or Pasiek

I listened to Radio Wales announcing and discussing the Newport team earlier and there wasn’t any mention of Mawene - even though they mentioned at least one other player who hadn’t been picked.

Local paper just says this:

Coincidentally Jayden Stockley was playing for Newports opponents Port Vale today and scored a couple of goals.

90mins again for Kamara in a 1-1 draw, 57mins for Cross-Adair (0-0 when subbed), 6mins for Seary (conceded a last minute 0-1)
