I've been wondering if we should have a thread specifically called 'Miscellaneous" or something... where you can post really random points, that normal people know aren't worth a new thread.... but might actually be of interest.

Examples..
Let's say you heard that Phil Brown was going to be interviewed on Radio 5 in a few minutes time.... it's hardly worth a new thread.

Or it's 10am on the morning of our big away clash at Yeovil, and you hear that the M5 is closed. We don't need a thread for discussion... but somewhere easy to add this information in a single post that will appear on the 'What's New' list for people to see

Or a recommendation to watch a particular funny incident on Match of the Day. I'm sure I've thought of other examples in recent weeks but I hope that the ones above illustrate the idea.

Maybe it should be one of those 'yellow' threads that default to the top of the list... though I'm not sure of that.

Does this sound sensible?

Maybe there can be a thread for traffic on Simister Island since we will be going through there a lot next season...

I know what you mean about strange posts, but I do not think there is another way because maybe not everyone uses "Whats New".

Wow.. I've made 999 posts. I'll have to make sure I don't waste my next one on something trivial.

cabbage is not really a butterflies favouite food, but prawns seem to like sewer outflows. does that mean they eat shit and things?
