Was there an initiative from earlier in the season to get scarves/flags on every seat?

What happened to that in the end? Obviously a big task (man power and financially) but just wondering what happened.

Yeah, I think the original goal was to do it for Leeds on Boxing Day.....

We had originally secured the support of a sponsor to cover a large proportion of the cost but for various reasons that sadly did not come to fruition.

Also there have been changes at the manufacturer which made it more complicated.

It is something that (or very similar scheme) that oursleves and the club would like to do in the future.

Me too, mine was painted blue and white ....

I was only 8 !!!

Tried to find a precise date they were banned but closed I could get was early 70s.

Every credit to those involved with arranging the flags. The atmosphere was much better today and the flags and balloons played their part.
