Pickford or Iversen

Pickford or Iversen

We do have three defenders around Grant, none of which stop him from getting a shot away perhaps they also have got to take a huge responsibility for the goal.🥴

We pay a goalkeeper over a million pounds a year to prevent a goal from happening following after that precise scenario.

Perhaps he wasn't expecting the shot to come through, did it not take a slight deflection ?
Iversen has not looked as good as he did since returning from injury, certainly his distribution and kicking has got worse.
Playing behind a defence that makes very basic school boy mistakes game after game cannot be good for his confidence.
No he perhaps has not been at his best, but Iversen is the least of our worries.

I honestly think the injury has broken him. His standout attribute was his speed of reaction. And that’s seemingly abandoned him

Fuck off.

Iversen signed for PNE before Liam Lindsay did!

It’s a bit like listening to a vinyl single at 45rpm and then suddenly someone has flicked the speed to 33rpm.

Not sure of the relevance of your point, they both played on loan in 2021, Lindsay signed for us permanent first in 2021 and Iversen in 2025.
Playing continually behind a defence such as ours since Christmas last year would not help any keepers confidence.
Like I said we have far more priorities all over the pitch than Daniel Iversen..

I'm forgiving anyone for whatever reaction they have today - but virtually every keeper in the country fails to save that goal today.

Nothing whatsoever about "being beaten at the near post" or "not getting down quick enough" People seem to be judging Dan's movement as though he hadn't already started moving his weight onto his right foot before the deflection.

Bobbage has a weird longstanding point to prove with regards to Iversen. Absolutely loves to jump on any fault but is quiet as a whispering mouse whenever the opposite happens.

Has a strange take on a very good keeper, by no means the best in the league but has proven himself to be a competent mainstay.

Still a good keeper for me. He let a soft one in at Shitpool, he messed up at Millwall, soft goals conceded all before his injury, and when he was in good form. Admittedly, his distribution is awful but, even the best goalkeepers are prone to errors.

Anyone remember Jim Blyth only played one game for us before Coventry bought him. Man Utd offered a world record fee for him to leave Coventry but a back injury put paid to that move.
