Actually what ridsdale said is right (for once.) when Bauer signed the contract he was a regular as he played 34 times that season.

The seasons he made little appearances are the season after his contract was signed.

Giving the extension trigger is incompetent and there was absolutely no need.

I don’t blame them for giving him a contract as I can’t remember many people being against it at the time.
