I am fuming right now, With our match with the Dingles being an early kick off I had to catch my train at 6 30 am. When the ticket woman checked my tickets she told me that my railcard had expired 1 day ago which I had no idea of, she then told me I would need to pay for the ticket again obviuosly without the railcard costing £102!! So not having that kind of money on me she forced me off the train at the next stop (Reading) where I had to buy another bloody ticket to get home. So I have spent over £100 on a 1 hour trip to Reading and back at 6 30am including return tickets to Preston, single ticket back home, match ticket and bus fares to the train station. Absolute Disgrace 😡 Only thing that'll pick up my mood will be a win over Burnley, come on whites!!! 😡

probably rag week 😀
Typical female over-zealous handling of the situation.
I caught a train to Watford last March to see brother and go see PNE v Charlton the day after. I had bought tickets online with a railcard but completely forgot them on my trip. The conductor came round and said I'll need to show the railcard on the way back, and he put a special note on the ticket - however he didn't try and charge me more, he knew it was an honest mistake. Bought a new railcard in London for a tenner and that was that sorted for the way back.
Then another time booked tickets but accidentally chose Monday return instead of Sunday. Thinking I'd have to pay £100 argued Watford ticket station and was told to go Virgin Trains on the end of the platform and he just wrote on the tickets and said "just get on the next train, its fine" - extra cost? Zero.
Virgin Trains very impressive.

You won't be imporessed that now there are hardly any trains that run direct between Preston and Watford Junction, you either have to change at Birmingham or London!!!
