Hi, just wondering what spam software you mods use on here. I'm also on a watch forum that is constantly bombarded with unrelated stuff and in fact makes the site nearly unworkable trawling through junk to get to real forum chat. I haven't noticed that much on here.
Any tips please.
 
More acknowledging that I've seen this. Truth be told most of that stuff is hidden from us but Dai as the Admin may know so will flag it to ask. I don't know the actual software/plug-in though I know in the past there must be some sort of IP list that is either manually updated or maintained by Anti-Spam sites and they use those IP addresses to block some. i.e. a couple of years back when we kept having new users posting film links overnight that was solved by blocking certain IP address blocks

True, must be a good programme as there's hardly ever anything on here spam wise - apart from some of the threads folk start that is.

When I had a forum I used this service, it is pretty good, needs quite a bit of work getting spam under control, but it does help a lot.
