  • Gentry Tifo Update
The Gentry Tifo will now be displayed next season to ensure it receives the platform and impact it deserves.
Names and donations remain open this season.
In memory of Brian Jolly (LIS), donations during this period will be split between the Tifo fund and a charity chosen by his family, also honouring The Warehouse (Dave B).

The first 5 and the next 5

The first 5 and the next 5

We got 8 points from the first 5 games.

We are on 8 points after 4 of the next 5 games, be great if we avoid defeat at WBA.

Then on to the next 5, if we can continue with that points target then momentum and confidence builds.

In an ideal world 8 points plus from each 5 games is the target.

I’m starting to worry about McCann on international duty, we need him.

One of my biggest problems with Lowe was that he would give the players “points targets” for groups of games.

It doesn’t serve any purpose other than to give the squad the message “I don’t expect you to win them all”.

Thankfully, I think PH just concentrates on winning the next game and lets everything else takes care of itself.

If you are not focusing on winning the next game you shouldn’t be involved in football.
That’s an obvious.

But as fans we know no one wins all their games so we can play mental games with maybes and possibilities…

That doesn’t mean your target shouldn’t be to win them all. What is the benefit of setting a lower target for the players?

I’m not the manager Gordon, just a fan.

It’s just how I look at it.

Don’t associate me with Ryan Lowe …. You brought his name up…

I want us to win every game, but no one wins every game , so that’s my view of how we are doing and what we need to do be successful.

And the next 5.

Well unfortunately we blew it at WBA against the weakest Baggies team for years with a strange set up which didn’t allow for their one main threat.
And then lost to Birmingham with another strange team selection.
I was concerned by Heckys teams for those 2 games.
But then we have bounced back with 2 wins against Sheffield United and Southampton, good wins but against bizarrely underperforming teams with expensive squads.

So 13 games in and 22 points in the bag.

The Championship is strange this season, it’s so difficult to forecast results.

And so on to Swansea at home which you would think is winnable subject to what fit players we can muster and then a tricky away game at Millwall before getting a break to regroup and hopefully get a few bodies back ready for the Rovers game and a busy Nov Dec Jan.

Midweek Coventry play Sheffield Utd, wouldn’t surprise me if the Blades pulled off a shock result. Millwall have a tricky away game at Birmingham and Boro play at Leicester.

Weekend Coventry away at Stoke which should be interesting, so by 5 o’clock Saturday the table could look quite different.

And how many clubs will be looking for new managers by then?

It’s definitely entertaining.

Feels like this season more than ever before, you need to be playing teams at the right time. Feels like Coventry and Millwall have easy games every week - I know that can't be true, but it just appears that way.

We've played Southampton at a good time. Some would say Sheff Utd too, but they'd had a bounce before playing us, so that win was extra special.

Honestly cannot predict the top six. One game at a time. Any team from 1st to 23rd could get promoted this season.

Derby are another we got out of the way early. Won 3 in 3, and Carlton Morris has been the best striker in the league.

Keep matching Covs results, we are 6 behind them, win the game against them and it really is game on.

Swansea probably missing Vipotnik or whatever his name is.
And Millwall could be missing Azeez.

Not just us having injury issues.

Any news on any of our sick list being available for the next 2 games??

This season is truly getting exciting
I hope the quieter fans among the Deepdale faithful can raise there game a little, we really have a team to get behind.
Let's give this season everything possible on and off the pitch, it looks like it could be our turn to make our mark.

Have you been on the games recently? The STFS have been more involved/animated than I've witnessed for ages. Something they/we've been accused of not being over quite a long period.

Yes,I have Roy, it has improved, I think the club could do more to build the pre match atmosphere.
Wednesday will be a good test as the away support will be poor, let's hope a few take advantage of the clubs great offer.
An early goal will help, I think someone shortly will get a hammering but Swansea may be tough

I've just heard Goncalo and Cabango are struggling. Vipotnik is definitely out. Could be fireworks on Wednesday.
