Some time ago, when it was claimed that given the number of registered members "online" was the "authentic view of PNE fans", i asked if there were information available about how many of the registered members actually posted.

I was told to do the research myself.

Well, half an hour with a spreadsheet tells me:

Registered members: approx 5000

Total number of posts: Approx 1.1 Million

People registered who have NEVER posted: 48%

top 10% of posters = 90% of total posts

top 10 posters (out of 5000 registered) = 15% of total posts


Conclusion: there are far more people who have registered and gone away again without posting than take an active part in discussions.

Surely to get a true reflection on your above stats you would need to compare this to other football forums to see if this is a unique trend to this board or the same across the board....🙄

Mr Womble, i buy a couple of Sunday papers every week but i never write in to the letters page.

Lots of people on here just like to read, i know a few from my place of work who do just this.
