Oh dear maurice!

Maurice got the Pompy game wrong so why didn't he say that?. Gary Hickson asked the question the same question we were all debating on before the Portsmouth game and he was there to be asked about it so why go on the defensive.

Crikey our new Chairman has the guts to stand up to the implied questioning of Hickson and the knicker wetters on here all side with Radio Lancs!!

FFS who do you support? PNE or Radio Lancs? Get behind your club and Chairman. There is no way any PNE fan should be siding with Radio Lancs over this.

ML has more guts and gumption than our previous wet lettuce of a Chairman ever had. In general as a club we have been walked all over and been a soft touch for years, and I'm delighted that this has changed.

pre 2006 i thought hickson could be a prick sometimes. he then did something on a personal level which makes me think he is a decent and good bloke.

I support whats best for PNE nd we need the revenue aginst Portsmouth like we need it from every club and we got 9666 against Portsmouth no way like a lot of people said was Portsmouth a CAT A game. Why didny Maurice acknowledge that and whats wrong with asking the question.

He could have turn it around and sold the "5 pound the Norwich game", he could have took the time to "up the club" but he loses that valuable oppertunity and comes across as a guy who's not safe in situations like that. He had the oppertunity there and then to turn the question right round and come out of it well but he didn't and as a PNE fan im dissopionted in that. For the record Maurice as been there since June surley that was long enough to have a look at the Pompey game that and change it but again thats my view

Slightly biased to Radio Lancs methinks Steve! Maurice did say that they would be reviewing ticket prices for games. He objected via the way it was questioned by Hickson and why not . It shows Maurice is his own man love him or loathe him. Hickson should have been more skillfull in his approach to questioning- not he himself get sulky and sounding pissed off as if his authority? is being questioned. I noticed Hickson was drivelling on about text he had received off fans about the interview, be a man and tell us what you think Gary ( oops that might be unprofessional in the context ( bullying) )

Who set the Categories for the games in the first place, BEFORE Maurice became Chairman?? Oh yeah, our previous Chairman made the mistake, but ML is getting the stick. That makes sense. At least he has done something and changed the categories. Would our previous Chairman have done the same?
 
Sorry mate didint mean to sound biased and im not. I just dissopionted that the interview was cut short it was a good chance to sell our club but unfortuntaly that didn't happen. I still think Maurice must have gone in there on the defensive to react like that. But its all history now.

No prob Surf your devotion to the club is always evident on Lancs and is good listening to you. Don't like Smug Hickson though but it's just my view.

If you say so. But where's the support for ML for actually doing something and changing the categories? Instead all he get is slagged off. I guess it doesn't matter who the Chairman is, he will always get a good slagging from some.
 
Just listening to it on iPlayer, both sounded like pricks to be honest. Hickson was asking a pointless question pretending to be a journalist, ML was far too defensive.

After listening to it I think it's hilarious. Hickson as usual was trying to be clever and oooor Maurice didn't take too kindly to it. Hickson was trying to the fans were thinking that ML didn't review the ticket prices as soon as he arrived, and only looked at it after the Portsmouth game.
The interview went pear shaped from there.

For the record I fully support Maurice in what he's doing at the club,everything he's done at Preston with finance,ticket prices and free coach travel has been spot on. I just feel he came across as arrogant tonight he had the chance to sell the club and took a totally different agenda.

Don't agree. The interview started just fine with ML being friendly, informative, and explaining what he had done and why he had done it. It went down hill when Hickson tried to be clever like he usually does and implied that the fans thought ML had only looked at the ticket prices after the Portsmouth game, saying the fans had created a link between the low attendance on Sat and the sudden reduction in category A games.

Was unprofessional by Hickson and wasn't necessary.
