Would like to keep as many 'round pegs' in place as possible, for me it has to be Connor or a Youth Team player who can fill the void.
I'd rather we played a natural left footed left back there than a right back out of position. I don't think the full back roles are as interchangeable as is sometimes made out.
If we can't or won't play Billington or James then unfortunately Paul Parry would need to move back there temporarily and Keammar Daley could take his place on the left wing. Would only be for one match but Parry's our best bet if we want to retain any sense of balance down the flanks.
I play connor at LB for one game cos he has played there before & keep parry on the left wing.
I wonder what Kemar Daley has done to convince you of this. He is a luxury player who is no good off the ball and has a poor workrate. At the moment we need hard work and spirit. Mayor is our luxury player really. For me it would be Conor McClaughlin at left back to cause as little disruption as possible. If Mells cant play then Proctor if fit and Tsoumou if not. Rule 1 - Basically everybody from tonight's starting line up should play again in the same position if they can. Rule 2 - Replace any who cannot with the best of the rest in that position and dont go moving people about a la Brown.
