Just been doing some research on Wickipedia, looking at all my heroes strikerates for PNE. I reckon that Andy Saville is the last player to have that honour. I'm amazed that the likes of Nuge, Macken, Healy et al were only 1 in 3 men.

Other teams seem able to find them, but not us!!

Bored now, got plenty of nights off work now!!

Thoughts please.:question:

Shit, Iain Hume is close!!!!!
 
Juvhel Tsoumou has only STARTED 5 games but has 4 goals to his name. i think he'll come good if not this seasom but defor next, as will Proc.
Mayor will only get better as seasons pass as will Barton- he needs more time- i dont think he's ready this season nor last but next year expect big things

Do a search for 20 goal a season strikers at any club and then work out how PNE can compete for their services.

A goal every 2 games would be 24+ but of course there are always injuries.

I think one in three is ok as long as you have two of them in your squad and competent set pieces

I would guess in terms of goals per game, Brett Angell would have been close to, if not the best striker we've had in recent times. He certainly got us over the line to promotion from this division in 1999/2000.
 
Andy Saville was excellent for us in the 4th division, didn't quite cut the mustard in the league above though. If memory serves me right I think he didn't hit the net in the first 16 games or so, and when he did open his account was then shipped of to the pie eaters.

Always a hero though!
