Schofe you used to be pretty good with transfer speculation whats happened?some people would moan if we got promoted, VAR, can’t get tickets for man u away etc etc!
There were a couple of choices for Gentry but Brentford has been done at least twice before and in all truth Brentford respect and welcome the day. Its a fantastic ground that has been trouble free every time ive been. The other thing is it seems the majority of fans who go Gentry (could be one of only a handful of games they see) want it to be a London game as its a full day event.
I wasn’t bothered where it is as I’ll go unless anything Unknown pops up.
Gentry Day 2020 - Brentford (18th April) - Confirmed (Remember Online)
Hi Paul, i know its a bit early but what will the ticket allocation be for away fans in the new stadium, any idea?.....could be ideal choice for Gentry Day next season too!!

Very impressive, and only took 2 years to build.
I notice they've completed building the stadium before completing (or even starting, in the case of Capital Court) the residential building work that also forms part of the overall scheme.
Seems it's possible after all to build all the football stuff first, then let the residential stuff come afterwards. 🤔

The people whinging about it are probably the ones with no loyalty points cos they don't go to away games, fuck em
Not necessarily. You can have gone to all the away games and not have anywhere near as many loyalty points as an ST holder who has been to no away games. The people whinging about it are probably the ones with no loyalty points cos they don't go to away games, fuck em

And would they be doing what they did when gentry day where they but on trains
Unsure what you mean Rickeeeeey.
Sorry, no offence intended, point taken and will delete my own post, if you can edit yours. (EDIT: Too late to delete my post - can I be a pain and ask a Mod to do so?)We are generally pretty friendly to away supporters on here but I suggest you have a look at some of the social media posts from your other fans who understand the ethos behind gentry day.
It's about remembering fans that have been lost and most of your fans seem to understand that and show some respect.
Anyhow, looking forward to your visit, hope it's a good day out for both teams.
P.S. May not be your last ever visit to GP - play-offs a possibility?

Worst attempt at backtracking ever 🤣.
Let's be honest, I bet you're not remotely bothered about our PO hopes, you just needed a quick change of subject.
Bees are hopeful of making the P/Os (at least). If we do, and are drawn at home, PNE are one of the possible opponents.Worst attempt at backtracking ever 🤣.

Take it as you wish, but mindful of earlier comments about it being "the last ever", I meant no more than that.
I'll edit it for you. I knew it was light hearted but it's quite an emotive topic on here!!Sorry, no offence intended, point taken and will delete my own post, if you can edit yours. (EDIT: Too late to delete my post - can I be a pain and ask a Mod to do so?)

Playoffs would be nice!
Thanks.I'll edit it for you. I knew it was light hearted but it's quite an emotive topic on here!!
For all that many Bees fans would like one more chance to savour GP - esp with a sold-out crowd in a vital game - we really DON'T want to go through the P/O's again.Playoffs would be nice!
We've been there something like 8 or 9 times without ever having gone up!
Still, with WBA and Dirty Leeds still to come to GP, we aren't writing off our chances of Automatic, even if it's still long odds-against.

... after taking well over a decade to secure the site!Very impressive, and only took 2 years to build.
In fact, it might have been ready for games in less than 2 years, but even if given permission by the EFL (not guaranteed), BFC didn't want to ask to move in the middle of this season, then be vulnerable to unforeseen delays. Better to wait until start of 2020/21 and be sure of meeting the deadline.
Tbf to the local Council, they made Planning Permission to build houses on GP conditional on BFC having found a new ground first.I notice they've completed building the stadium before completing (or even starting, in the case of Capital Court) the residential building work that also forms part of the overall scheme.

And the new development on Lionel Road only got PP on condition that the stadium was completed BEFORE the flats etc, since they didn't want to chance the Developer building the flats, taking his profit, then pissing off without building the stadium.
All of which guaranteed the club security against ending up homeless, but also added significantly to the stadium cost, since so long as the flats are unbuilt/unsold, the Developer is at risk of a slump in the residential property market, and so will have added on a premium to BFC's bill for the scheme.

I hope the match tickets go on sale to season ticket holders with a certain amount of loyalty points and away fans (who don't have a season ticket but also go to home games) with a certain amount of loyalty points

Yeah, the reason for my post was, our club owner had a useless golf course that he'd wanted to build houses on for years but could never get planning permission - so about 4 years ago, he tacked onto the planning application a state-of-the-art training ground for PNE, which the club said was absolutely vital if we were ever to reach the Prem and, at the second attempt, after a very significant campaign by PNE fans (including the owner of this forum) in favour of the development for the sake of PNE, planning permission was granted, with the housing development conditional on also building the training ground.... after taking well over a decade to secure the site!

And the club had assured everyone (prior to PP being granted) that the training ground would be built first, with a summer 2018 opening date projected, interviews in the press with the manager looking forward to it and how important it was to everyone at the club, and so on.
And (last we heard) the houses are shooting up great guns, no problems there at all.
No sign of the training ground though.
And the club doesn't bother updating us about it any more.
