Gentry Day 2020 - Brentford (18th April) - Confirmed (Remember Online)

Gentry Day 2020 - Brentford (18th April) - Confirmed (Remember Online)

Shit, my Brother in Law is flying across from Belgium with 3 of his mates. And they wanted to go to that game. Given the allocation, and hopefully we're in the promotion mix still, it might be really hard to get us all tickets.

Great choice. Presumably their penultimate match at Griffin Park so should be a good atmosphere whatever the importance of the match. I expect it to be important for both although the pessimist in me thinks it might be somewhere near the entrance of last chance saloon for us!

caveat being TV!

The game, scheduled for Saturday 18th April, is of course subject to TV selection, with the decision having to be made five weeks in advance of the fixture, so fans are advised not to purchase travel until the game has been confirmed.

Hopefully Sky won't be able to resist the thrill and delight of WBA v Fulham or Forest v Swansea or, most mouthwatering of all, Leeds v someone.

I messaged Avanti Trains on Saturday as that was 12 weeks before the game, and no advance tickets available. It will be 2 weeks before they are released apparently. Rail works in Scotland are causing a delay in the timetable being released.

Would have gone for Huddersfield myself but have a sneaky feeling the consultation of 'fans and police' was simply asking PC Elliot and co which they'd prefer and given the Gas Club trouble they said Brentford.

seems Facebook is in meltdown over this decision, everyone always thinks its the wrong decision, can never please everyone! I can see why the people who used to organise it have taken a backseat over the decisions these days
I wont be going this year, cant make it that weekend but i understand the reasons for taking gentry day back to Brentford, was always a good do when in the capitol rather than local games like Bolton

I was hoping to go to Brentford match anyway but prob now wont get tickets. Are we confirmed any allocation? My daughter lives in Acton and the Brentford fans are hoping it will be hpme support only for their last ever match at Griffin Park.

I tend to find Facebook goes into meltdown about anything and everything.

As has been discussed in detail the options weren't great this season. I suspect those moaning are those who would only go to Gentry Day if it's close and so they can get hammered (ala Bolton the other year).

Maybe it would be worth alternating between a close by and then a distance one the year after...

It's not their last ever game. They have one more on 2nd May.
