Perhaps some blame should also attach to the iFollow commentators. How many times have they proclaimed that we are progressing towards victory only for it to be snatched away? I just get an awful feeling every time they do that. There is no such thing as an assured victory at 1-0 with 20 minutes left. Frankly we should probably be grateful for the point because that shot from distance after they had equalised was only just the wrong side of the post. Anyhow at least we stopped that losing streak - now we have to build on that.

If we're taking potshots, I still think DJ is coasting on the pens padding his stats.

He's supposed to be the creator in our team right? 3 runners ahead of him.

Honest question
should Pearson create more ?
Honest answer yes but unfortunately he’s designated the job of covering the back four as nobody else seems to read the game and break up opposition play like he does. For me if the playoffs are out of reach after next 4 games or so I’d give Ledson the chance as the sitting midfielder see how he handles it

He spreads the ball better than anyone else in the squad and while he doesnt get a great deal of goals or assists his "key passes" must be amongst the highest in the squad
I am uncertain right now and need a good few more games to watch
he does have the killer pass but at the same time seems to go for the hold or switch all to easily maybe - or put another way I think there is a lot more in him

Think.... @FTF Grayson pod touched upon this, that Pearson is a much better footballer than what he often shows. I wouldn't question should he creat more, more ask how can we maximise his quality? Parts of the second half yesterday he was displaying what a talented technician he is.

Maximise his quality
i like that
we often need someone to look to in a team though to inspire us
not sure who that would be right now

That is right. Pearson has tons of talent and even when, as in most games, he exhibits just a portion of it he is still one of the most effective players on the field. It's not just the killer forward pass that he is holding off on, driving forward with the ball is something he can do but is choosing not to.
A lot is said about him being gone in the summer. My guess is rich Championship clubs will be after him and maybe one or two of the lesser Premiership clubs. A bit like Hugill.

Having been bored shitless watching the 0-0 non entity Merseyside Derby, I just started thinking about the inability of North End to create any kind of meaningfull chances, said to myself Alex Neil hasn't been able to get in players he'd like, then remembered he'd actualy signed quite a lot of Invisible players.

Another of Neil's invisible signings is Josh Ginnelly. Where is he now. His loan spell at Bristol Rovers is clearly over. Nowhere to be seen yesterday. Well i didn't see him anyway. I thought he had something in him Pre season. at 23 if he he can't get in the squad now, he never will, Similarly Bayliss. Coventry were apparently gutted to lose him. Didn't seem to do them any harm. Potts, Nugent, Stockley etc. Not sure I'd trust Neil with another penny.

Josh Ginnelly's best friend and (i think) housemate passed away not a couple of weeks ago. I would imagine the club have left up to Josh to decide when he is ready to be around the squad

Possibly. Especially when Gally is playing alongside him, he could have the licence to push forward a bit more. As it is, both kinda sit back, and without full backs who bomb on, we're lightweight in attack.

I’m thinking on similar lines
defensive midfielder stifles him maybe
our defence is not actually that bad. Well we know it isn’t as we all moan like drains about the opposite end of the pitch
maybe press him a little Further forward and let the back 4 really earn their wedge
