I was no fan of Rudd last season but blaming him for today is bollocks

As much as I like DJ, he had a shocking game today. His passing & tempo were way off. The amount of times he was in good positions & wasted it, so frustrating. They were all poor though.I'm struggling to see what difference Harrop could possibly have made.
We have a handful of decent players, like Pearson and Johnson, none who are awful, but we have far too many who are simply average - and that's why we won't make the play offs. Overall, we are simply not good enough.
Not Browne's best day. He wasn't exactly alone though. But - he's probably our most constantly decent performer and with the ability he has therefore - probably our most effective player over the season.
Problem is this manager prizes his versatility over his effectiveness in his best position. Barking. Browne is being used as a fill-in full back on occasion. You don't put your best players (unless they are specialist full backs) at full back. You sort your full back problem out. Thats what a good manager would do. The full backs both look very short on confidence.

The amount of times he turns back to face his own goal with the ball is so frustrating. We look to be surging forward & he just shields it, he's a fantastic player but maybe it's the belief he has in the players around him? Or lack of belief...It's odd, I gave him a 7 even though I agree with you. His propensity to just give the ball back to the opposition was really frustrating. He worked hard and he pressed and he scored. But he didn't do the job I want our creator to do, I suppose.
But look at the Cardiff team (and Luton's), if that the case - and sticking with your analogy - corned beef and potatoes have been more than matched by just spam and chips.Course he did
And I’m not defending him but you can plan as much as you like to make a nice meal but when you’ve only got corned beef and potatoes in the cupboard your not going to get a haute cuisine meal

At the level (broadly) every managers job is about developing players and getting the max out of what you have. Its not the Premiership where you simply buy your solutions.
What a strange comment.Conceding 3 at home and you're happy with the goalkeeper. Noted.
Here's the team that pretty much took us to the top of the Championship over the first 15 games of the season and is the team that played when we went top at Charlton.
Whats changed?
Rudd
Fisher
Bauer
Davies
Rafferty
Pearson
Browne
Maguire
Johnson Substituted forGallagher at 31'minutes
Barkhuizen
Stockley
Any ideas anyone?
The lack of bollocks when it actually matters.
