Championship clubs are going to be included in this offer. Apart from clubs with parachute payments, and clubs with wealthy owners.

So there will be clubs who over the Summer overspent, and will be given money from the bailout. Whereas a club like ours with a billionaire owner, who choose not to overspend, will likely get nothing.

No help for us then.

“Championship Clubs, for example, who are still benefiting from parachute payments, along with those with wealthy owners, are not expected to be among the clubs to receive support should a deal be agreed”

As others have said, that rules is out.

Personally I think any bailout should be just for L1 and L2 clubs.

This was bound to happen.

'We've paid the taxman' now just make us sound naive to clubs who haven't, but will benefit from dirty PL money anyway.

Trevor Hemmings and above probably.
Just had a gander online.

Coates family. Stoke City. £7.17B
Steve Lansdown. Bristol City.£1.35B
Trevor Hemmings. £1.03B
Mel Morris. Derby County. £515m
Steve Gibson.£270m
Tony Fernandes. QPR. £262m

So that's us and two others definitely stuffed.
I'd imagine Derby won't get anything either.

Nor clubs with parachute payments hopefully. In fact I still don’t think championship clubs should get anything.

The hypocrisy was typified when Cardiff paid a massive loan fee and full wages for Wilson just days after crying out for Premiership and government help!

I haven't read the full transcript, but in the parliamentary debate on Monday the message was there's plenty of money in football at the elite level, so stop badgering us.

Football is wealthy, but poorly distributed. But how you 'encourage' that money to flow from the top-down, I've no idea.

Hasn’t Waynes Derby World not just been taken over by a multi rich Arab chap? Or has it not gone through yet?
