Did Gary attend St. Anthony’s, Cadley Causeway in the 1960’s ?If so, I taught him in Junior 2. A lovely boy. RIP.
Is it the same Gary Mounsey that I went to school with ( St Anthony’s / Cuthbert Mayne ) ??

He was a hairdresser and for a while he had a shop on the bus station…

Didn`t know him....but can I ask, did he dress as a Jew on games?

I was lucky enough to have been on Turf Moor, about `86, when we won 4-1 away, and spent it in the company of an orthodox Jew. A very special day , right up there with my all time best PNE memories, and I`m wondering if it might have been him.

RIP Gary.

Sorry to hear this. What a character.
I was there the night Gary bought Sir Tom’s England cap. I remember he paid cash, about four grand!
He paid cash for a lot of stuff, I believe he paid cash for a building on Tulketh road that he turned into Tinkerbells Nursery, and he owned the Newsagents on Wellington Road, I always remember him telling him to keep an eye on who my lass was hanging about with. Saw him a few weeks ago in the Tap End. He was a character. Just shows you never know what’s around the corner.

I did a lot of work on tinkerbells and his house, he was a top bloke such a shame, and he was a top north end fan

I did not know this fellow though his name somehow seems familiar from somewhere but I presume I shared more than one football ground with him at times. Why anyone who presumably wasn't an Orthodox Jew should dress up as one I don't know but if it was somehow intended to be funny and not mockery then well we will let it pass. But one of our number has passed from this life and I express my condolences to his family and those who knew. Let's hope the lads can mark his passing in some style this afternoon.
