Just wondering if there is any facility to alter the background colour from white to darker shade, or even a totally different colour?

Reason I am asking is, I have a problem at the moment with white backgrounds due to an eye condition waiting to be corrected.
 
None that I can see in the profile options. Which browser do you use and there may be an extension setting that you can use under the Accessibility settings to make it dark mode?

Using Firefox, I didn't check that out, I will have a look...thanks

Hopefully something like this

Enable Firefox dark mode on desktop​


To activate Firefox dark mode on Windows, macOS or Linux, open the main menu, click 'Customize' and choose 'Dark' from the 'Themes' drop-down menu at the bottom of the page.

You may be able to do it across Windows or whichever OS you use as I'm guessing it's quite a common setting for visually impaired users also

No Jake it has to be a customisation in the website that you are viewing, I just thought that in might be in Preferences on the site or hidden elsewhere. No problem - I will persevere until I have my eye sorted.
 
Sorry about that. Will flag your message to admin to see if there are any addons that might be useable

Can only think that you try to lower the brightness on your screen/device in the short term.

Try reading in tinted or a pair of sunglasses 🤣 .... Only joking Reacher, hope you sort this out and the condition is corrected.. 👍

Here's a true story.
I was about nine years old and my family and I went to a nudist beach next to the campsite we were staying at.
My mum warned me about the naked people that I would see, and so on.
Anyway, we had a nice day at the beach, and I did see far too many bushes, willies and boobies. Somewhat confused though I turned to mum and said

"I didn't see any Jamaican people."

😂
