I heard at 8.29pm.I was told at 8.30pm last night.....but needed to wait for PR to cock it up this morning first !

To be fair, I don’t blame them one bit. They’ll be gutted that their excellent set up is under threat. They are a really good club too - and only 10 places below them in the league. I am sure they don’t see PNE as such a big step up for Lowe to be worth him having the hassle/ risk/ potential loss of glory etc.
The ones who have posted on here though have been excellent - though hardly a statistically significant number, I know!
10 Places is very misleading when that gap crosses a division.
Their fans are missing the point entirely. I doubt he'd come here for money, as others will pay more.
An established championship club with a solid, if unspectacular playing squad, is a much more attractive proposition than a good L1 club. To get to our level, they'd first need to get promoted and then have a couple of consolidation seasons in the Championship whilst also improving their squad.
For Ryan Lowe, that would be 2 and a half seasons of very hard work, just to reach the same level as what is available to him immediately with us.
As upsetting as it is to be a smaller club than the circus that is currently Preston North End, Plymouth fans have to take an objective view as to why their boss has made the move
See whether he brings anyone with him, but I’m always a tad uneasy when a manager doesn’t have his network behind him
I’d have been worried had we brought in Gareth but not Dobbo.
I doubt if SS is quite as crucial - he’s certainly not a different voice in the changing room….

This explains Lowe going odds-on at 8:31PM last night, which is when the rest of us worked it out.I heard at 8.29pm.
Pretty much spot on except the "unspectacular" - I really feel we are much better than our league position.10 Places is very misleading when that gap crosses a division.

Lets hope he isnt fit.....otherwise we wont sign him 😉Subject to a medical
me and MBa must have the same contact then.......just not sure why she messaged him before me!This explains Lowe going odds-on at 8:31PM last night, which is when the rest of us worked it out.
No need to work it out when you already know.
SS well regarded at Plymouth and their heirarchy have moved quickly to establish him as successor. Slightly worrying in terms of exactly HOW well regarded that they haven't even blinked. They obviously see his input as a big part of their success to date.
That said, Lowe clearly has the chops even if he is losing his right hand man.

This from the official statement on Plymouths website is interesting:
Ryan Lowe, who has resigned from his position with the intention of accepting a managerial role elsewhere.
Having received a request to speak with Lowe from a team in a higher division, the club was obliged to grant permission, as per the terms of his contract at Home Park.
With Lowe making clear his desire to move on, Argyle moved swiftly to appoint Schumacher, who holds a glowing reputation as a bright and ambitious young tactician.

it was briefly reported on plymouth herald that permission had been given from plymouth for talks between the two clubs, however the story and the link to it disapeared very quickly..
The club quite rightly like to keep these matters confidential until all is completed.

I don’t understand why he would have to resign if it was in his contract he could talk to other clubs in a higher division?

It was the phoney Argyle tweet that managed to fool a Plymouth Herald journalist. The club quite rightly like to keep these matters confidential until all is completed.

The club did that when the re-signed Nuge. The rest, as they say, is history. Id like to think the club is moving forwards rather than backwards. If I’m honest I was expecting Ainsworth as some kind of attempt to get the fans back on side.
