Forum Style Change

Forum Style Change

Not read the whole thread but suspect it must've already been raised but on mobile I now have to scroll right back up to the top of the page to tap the PNE Online banner to take me back to the home page. I've always navigated the forum in this way. The update does look pretty but I'm finding that change quite irritating.
Have you got these buttons at bottom of your screen? Forums takes you back to main page or what’s new does what it always did?

Another one for @JK
It seems the buttons are still there, it's just the image for them that moves. So with the web address bar at the bottom, when the bar is hidden the new buttons move to the very bottom of the screen and take the space that the bar had occupied. But the actual buttons themselves haven't actually moved, just the image for them.

With the web address bar at the top, the same thing happens (which is odd as the image for the buttons doesn't actually move). This way round, the buttons move up to where they would be if the bar was at the bottom and the image for them stays at the bottom (if that makes sense)

Firefox is a bit old fashioned these days. Maybe your easiest solution is to switch browsers?

Can you send me a screen shot?
Hmmmm, it has now changed to a strange (mostly unreadable) grey-on-grey, like this:

The green-on-green version was good though, while it lasted.

I just look at latest posts, at the bottom on your mobile or to the right on a pc. With that and your notifications you won't miss much. Also, the new format highlights the sections/threads with posts you haven't read.

I'm not sure what you do now, so I'm not teaching you to suck eggs btw.

I notice we've gone all navy blue.

Can I request that the user avatar/conversations/alerts buttons go back to where they were on the header, so that they stay visible when you scroll down the page? They used to be here, between the "Become a Forum Patron" button and the Search button:

Now there's a great big Search bar in their place, and the buttons are marooned at the top of the page, out of sight.

Those buttons are one of the most useful things to have visible at all times.
The issue noted above (alert buttons etc. not staying on screen when scrolling on desktop) is now resolved - thanks!

It now looks like this:

(As a sidenote: the big Search bar in the centre could probably now be removed, because a Search button is now persistent on the extreme right.)

Done. 👍

The only real issue I had has now been sorted (my previous post), cheers!

My other posts above were just giving JK some feedback on the colours of the "View them?" banner.

Big fan of innovation - well done guys. However the fonts are too small and the contrast is too high. Not good for the eyes. If you could tweak it then we're on to a fine thing.

Also I think there's too many font styles & sizes, would be easier on the eye if you could make them a bit more uniform.
