Matchday Thread Bamber Bridge v PNE - 02/07/22 - KO:15:00 - Pre Season Friendly

Sorry if it’s been posted previously but there’s a lot of praise for Olosunde in the RCB on Twitter.

How did he do? Is it just a case of “it’s only Brig” or did he genuinely stand out and look viable in that role moving forward?

So Seani got a kick just above the ankle and thats why he came off..... Was walking ok after and not in a boot as far as I could see,

Coulton put more dangerous crosses in from LWB than we saw the whole of last season.....and we scored from 1 of them.

The Ex Academy lads linked well together a number of times, such as the 2nd goal Seary into Oneill; layoff to Beno; flick into the path of Mikey again - only for Woodburn to nip in a score.

Not saying the youth lads are ready and some of their academy play isnt the way the 1st team play and so the expereicned lads had to win it back a few times.

Credit to Coulton and ONeill who virtually played 90 mins and kept going....

sorry to say this but Lindsay looked very composed and drove forward with the ball a couple of times.... looked more assured than any of the CB's first half.

Woodburn cant have done his chances any harm.

Bambo I heard was resting a knee 'strain?' but was there and walking about fine.

As far as I could work out Brady was expected to be there and playing Coulton both halves was a very late change...

David Perkins - ex EFL - controlled midfield first half for them and Pond was quite dominant for an hour.
Perkins was at Fylde last season I think, still a good player.

Hardest fans in Europe.
Like all other clubs nowadays who have "firms" including our own, they're an absolute joke. Without digging up old ground, the 70's, 80's and even 90's hooligans were in a lot of cases people to be avoided at all costs. The current crop are comedy value.
One of my boys (aged 19) was asked some time ago by someone he knew if he fancied joining the Preston Crew🤷‍♂️...seriously!
Said person was told to get a life.

@mapping went so could answer that possibly

I thought the stand out players today were Woodburn (was class today can tell he's had a good football education)
Mikey (2nd half) once he got service he looked a very exciting prospect
Lewis Coulton - full of energy, definitely worth having on the squad
Lindsay - like barest today absolute class

Bear in mind all this was against Bamber Bridge

I thought he was good. I'm not sure why he was dropped out of sight then transfer listed. Have there been words? Only seen him today and at Blackburn on both occasions he has looked like there is promise.

I'm not sure if it's injury issues? Or if Lowe just doesn't see him as a wingback?

I did think Lindsay is all shit or all sugar. Looks like a very good centre half at this level then has complete meltdowns in games

I’d be very surprised if Coulton, Bennett and O’Neill aren’t in and around the squad with the 5 sub rule coming into place. Seary and Mawene looked a bit behind them just now but still early days.

First ha!f was controlled, but quiet. Brig had a couple of quick breaks, but Woodman wasn't troubled. Second half we played better and moved forward a little quicker. I thought that Hughes and Coulton linked up well on the left. Olosunde played okay at right centre back, Woodburn was all over midfield asking for the ball and moving it forward. Also took his goal well, and mentions to the young lads O'niell, Barrett and Mawene.
Good money earner for Bamber Bridge as well. Cheers Brig.

Remind me is Olosunde one of the “available for transfer”?
