We were awful until we scored which just goes to show how short of confidence we were. Sublime pass by Mads and well finished by Potts, Played some lovely passing football later in the half . A real Jekyll and Hyde performance. But which one will emerge in the second half ?
Matchday Thread Millwall v PNE - 27/01/24 - KO:3pm - Championship
First half hour was atrocious. I thought Paul Sparrow was being generous with his summary. Then we scored and they've utterly collapsed We're making them look like the side that has only won 4 games at home and scored 13 goals in the process. Get stuck into them in the second half. We should take 3 points here.
I wonder if that was our good half of a half........🤔.....We were awful until we scored which just goes to show how short of confidence we were. The ball by Mads was a simple through ball. Should be doing this more, which I'm sure he will do. You'd think it was a Kevin De Bruyne whip by some reactions ffs.
Poor start and shocking defending for their goal. We did well to keep it a 1-0 whilst Millwall were so much on top.
Really decent goal from us on the counter and we've done really well since we scored.
Some great approach play from Mads & Millar.
Looks like it could easily go either way, but both teams trying to win the game, which is refreshing.

First half hour really terrible, lucky to be only 1-0 down, but as soon as we scored Millwall have gone to pieces.
Mads rivalling Fleming for best player on the pitch.
Absolutely gliding and a joy to watch.
There for the taking this lot as confidence is clearly fickle.
Will we keep the pressure on? Or try to settle for a point? 🤔

What is the crack with Browne not starting? Is he carrying an injury? If not absolutely insane he's not starting instead of ledson.
Apparently he is. Not sure what the injury is but, as he's on the bench, it's not debilitating.

Yep, the lack of confidence dominated the first 20 mins, everyone seemed nervous with the ball.We were awful until we scored which just goes to show how short of confidence we were. This has been a half of two halves. For the first 20 minutes we were awful - just sideways passing and unforced errors while our opponents passed and moved. They scored with their first attack a simple cross from their right that gave their player on the end of it a free header on the edge of the six-yard box. Shortly after only a superb interception by Storey stopped one of their players going clean through for what would very likely have been game over and RL out of a job.
But then things changed the main reason being Frokjaer getting into the match. He played a superb low defence-splitting pass to put Potts through and he smashed it home. After that we dominated and could have had more. The combination of Frokjaer and Millar is looking really good but they are way out wide when their interplay should be in and around the opposition penalty area. Browne's drive would add something and though Keane has worked hard Osmajic's pace might again give us an extra dimension. Really is all to play for

Hope so ND🤞🏻Let’s hope we take it into the 2nd half.
We have to try and beat, with no disrespect to Millwall, teams like this.

I knew the wife would end up getting tickets in the wrong end. At least she’s trying to fit in with the locals.

sloppy passes all over the place, in that first 20, after that player got injured we started to get into the game resulting in the goal, from that point on weve been excellent, could have done without half time.Yep, the lack of confidence dominated the first 20 mins, everyone seemed nervous with the ball.
When? 😉Hes had a decent game
In a first for north end it was both. Maybe we are now splitting our game into quarters like the yanks?I wonder if that was our good half of a half........🤔.....
