Did our master tactician identify that Ampadu and Rodon are very comfortable playing the ball out from the back or was it Marsh, who would know Rodon well. Playing Riis and Keane negated this and gave the midfield the opportunity to get into shape and support the defence. My point is that playing Riis and Keane up front strengthens us both defensively and offensively. Keane in particular understands angles, positioning and his role when out of possession, something Osmajic needs to develop. I may of course be wrong as you don't always get the big picture on Sky. I'm hoping, but I'm not convinced that RL can see what's in front of him, todays selection should be straightforward based on the last game and a half.

Weird feeling about today.

I really just don’t care. Don’t think I’ve ever felt like this about North End before but I’ve lost all motivation at the moment. I’ll watch the game but whether we win, draw or lose, it won’t alter my mood for the rest of the weekend.

Hopefully 3 points for those that have made the trip, however.

In previous years I'd go to, at minimum, 8+ away days a year. This year I've only done Chelsea as a ground box ticket exercise... Think that sums up my feelings on us having Lowe as manager really and don't fancy splodging huge amounts of cash for a wasted Saturday/weekend feeling.

Hope we win today as it's 3 points closer to the 53(55?) Points needed for safety and for those fans going. But either way, I'm not too bothered if Millwall do tonk us.

Let's try and have two good halves today rather than the usual one, Millwall are always a hard nut to crack for us, we need Millar and Holmes running at their defence regularly, then we can do it, I'm expecting a tight game with us just shading it 2-1👍

I am just down the road from today's venue and will be there. But like you I don't feel at all keyed up - conceding yet again in added time last week-end really did leave me feeling deflated. But we have all of our most creative midfielders available Browne, Frokjaer and Millar though whether we will start all three is another matter and our three frontline strikers Riis, Keane and Osmajic. The sun is also now coming out over South East London - maybe it will shine on us later.

You'd imagine Browne will get the nod ahead of Frøkjær for an away game, though I wouldn't call him creative.

Maybe he will replace McCann although he is better as an attacking midfielder

I agree, he never looks convincing as a defensive midfielder. His best form came under Alex Neil when he was used as a pressing '10' but Lowe doesn't really have the team set up like that.

I think RL will be under pressure to start Alan Browne as captain for his 400th appearance but that he would prefer to start with the same team that started last time. Frojkaer needs a good run and McCann’s tackling is a plus for an away game.
