Matchday Thread PNE v Ipswich - 03/02/24 - KO:3PM - Championship

Well considering most of us thought we'd lose this game I'll take the 3 points and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Oh and Blackpool lost 😂
Missed that. Hilarious result.

6 point gap between them and Stevenage in 6th, who have two games in hand.

5pts behind Oxford in 7th.

I think Lindsay was struggling - but I presume you meant did any of the subbed players have a knock. If you’re going to sit back, the .obvious change is the big lad who heads it for fun but Whatmough hardly warmed up.

And I know the opposition are going to come at you but you don’t have to accept that. It is possible to push forward or push on even when the opposition come at you. We chose not to.
They did come at us of course but please, apart from a bit of more direct play, was that an reason to suddenly hot the panic button,?
No it was not.
Absolute chaos from pretty much nothing.
Thos clown will never ever learn

What about the referee bowing to the Town End when he gave us a corner and everyone cheered ?
He did something similar to the pavilion, good on him for having a sense of humour. I wasn’t concentrating too hard but it looked like their keeper handled a back pass and then fouled Frokjaer - but I’m not sure if one of our players touched the ball before he handled it.

There have been plenty of periods where a 2 or 3 goal lead has felt totally insecure - not just under Lowe!

I think we caught Ipswich at a good time but nevertheless, they’re a top side and I do think that midtable teams are always very likely to find themselves under big pressure in the second half in such a match. It happens time and again, in every division, almost irrespective of how the lower team is managed.

With a really shit keeper. He made two huge gaffs which, unfortunately, we didn't capitalise on. Had we done so, there would have been a lot of daylight between us and Moore's two goals,

Get a life you sad act. You must be confused about why you don't intimidate me.

At least I have the strength to form and hold my own opinion.

Thanks for allowing me to post this.

Lemming.

Except you had a different opinion a matter of weeks ago.

You consistently forget that. Unsurprisingly.

Says the forum bully.

Probably the most ironic comment I’ve ever seen. Don’t you abuse posters family members?

Only posters I ever interact with negatively are you two. I’m still not convinced you’re different posters on alt-accounts.

First time I've posted on here in a week.

But I forgot that Im not allowed to come on here to give some balance and perspective, in the face of all the endless bullshit thrown at our manager.

Now I'm being rounded upon for enjoying a superb win, supporting our manager, giving a different opinion to the mass hysteria and calling people out for their unrelenting, unwarranted bullshit.

I was threatened last Saturday with being gang raped if I stuck around to give an opinion that was counter to the hive.

No doubt the poster and his sad fucker groupies found someone else to pick on. It's online bullying at its finest.

Sitting on here squabbling might be your idea of a perfect Saturday night, but it's not mine.

Ta ta.

RLSWA
RLSWA?

That was a horrible last 20 mins, but glad for the 3 points!
I think the last 20 minutes of any match is horrible. Our fitness levels are probably the worst in the league. We have only scored 6 goals in the last 20 minutes of games and conceded 17. Not sure how many points we have lost but tactics and fitness need improving big time.

Are you on about the one potential counter attack in the 92nd minute when they gave it away? Wow, bloody hell, countering ‘for fun’ there.

I’m not adding to what you said at all. You were the one that said he got done by Lowe today and were insinuating that he was the better coach. Let’s not take the piss. You like to drop a bomb and then pretend you didn’t mean it. Or pretend you didn’t mean it in that way. You’ve been doing it for years.

Mates, yes. I have them outside of the forum. I’m sure that’s a novel concept for you.

No I was going on about a few counter attacking opportunities where we were countering and the final pass was lacking.

Ahh insinuations now, so you’re making stuff up and embellishing again to have your fix, shite solicitor tactics 101.

I go at posters who come on here and have a go at someone over the ITK information.

Not unusual for the bullies to claim they’re the victims like in yours and the white rangers case.

We were completely outclassed by Ipswich at Portman Road earlier this season, so this was a great result in many respects. We competed very well and capitalised on their mistakes to deservedly lead at the break. Moore did us a lot of damage, and they were much better in the second half, but we've shown the guts and determination that has been in evidence all season to be fair, to see it through.

I just wish our subs were not so predictable. It's always our flair players that seem to make way. There was no apparent evidence that either Millar of MFJ were struggling to keep up with the pace. More imagination in this department would serve us well going into the final part of the season.

Our second goal (Edmondson og?)
