Matchday Thread PNE v Ipswich - 03/02/24 - KO:3PM - Championship

Stopped reading after you brought the mental illness shite into it.

See that’s your victim card Ace up the sleeve you try to play.

Bullying victim all rolled into one.

No, you’re just flipflapping again, shock.

And I’m not the one claiming I have a mental illness so I’m not sure why that would be my victim card.

Entertaining game. Suicidal first half defending by Ipswich which we made the most of. Their goalie is not the Beckenbauer he thinks he is.

Our capitulation second half wasn't exactly a surprise. Their subs had an impact. Ours didn't. We lack the strength in depth of the better sides.

Partnership of Keane and Riis seems to work well. Another 3-4 weeks match fitness Emil will hopefully be back to his best.

Some tough games coming up but we probably only need another 3 or 4 points to secure safety.

Absolutely class today. Can’t remember having a player that makes it look as effortless as he does. Different type of quality to McGeady and Millar

Puts to bed the rubbish about effort too. Might not be great at tackling, but it doesn’t stop him having a go

Brilliant first half, great pressing and took the 3 chances well. We knew Ipswich would come out second half and we didn't react. Taking Millar off was a mistake they has free reign of the left hand side. First goal Millar unlucky with the megs. Then we just sat deeper and deeper with little control of the ball. Ozzie is clearly short of confidence and didn't stretch them enough. Freddie needs to command his box and needs to be better for the second. The issue we have is the starting 11 are championship quality then the majority of the bench is league one. Great 3pts hopefully lowe learns how to manage a game better.
Don't make the changes then if you really don't have to.
He did though, even though there wasn't any real need to.
You saw what happened after that.
As for Osmajic, how much running do you want him to do?
He's chasing down the channels into the corners an puttin as much pressure on as he possibly could. For the role that our tit of a manager chooses to you use him in, I don't really think he could've done much more.
Dunno about you but I'd like to see him in the box an gettin in font of the defender an gettin his nut on things.
He's proved he can do it

Then why mention it?

I see you think flipflapping is some sort of insult, I just have the bollocks to have my own thoughts and haven’t made my entire personality about hating my football club.

You’re a turnip and a weird one at that, get back to trying to give your mate information about me to try and scare me but then again with your behaviour you two losers deserve each other.

We didn't need to make any subs at that stage Dreyfuss.
None
All their work despite starting to get on top was from far out.
As soon as the panic button is hit by Lowe, we are fucked

Because you said he gets on a bus for the disabled you imbecile.

Defending also isn’t all about tackling, pressuring your opponent is just as effective - as we saw several times today. This narrative that he can’t defend or doesn’t work hard enough is just nonsense. I’ve no idea who started it, presumably someone who manages a football team.

A fortune win I think most would agree with. Deflection, own goal and their keeper playing suicidal football!!

Fair play to the ref for half acknowledging he fucked up on the back pass.

Don’t know how Lowe does it but when the knives are out he pulls it out of the bag.

Atmosphere was shocking again today and the repeat Blackpool sings are cringeworthy. I don’t know how but something needs to be done. It’s getting worse.

Lowe lives another month by the looks of it.

Oh and the fitness coach was at it again at full time getting in to a spat with a paying supporter.

Roll on week Wednesday!

Come on everybody - lighten up. We won against a team who have been pace setters for most of the last few months. Yes we had some luck in the first half but you make your own luck and we pressed and ran and put them on the back foot. Sure in the second half we got pressed back but that was always going to happen unless we got a fourth. What must now be obvious is that we need to attack - if we sit back we look insecure to say the least. But Riis will step up a gear once he gets a goal and though he is still obviously short of match sharpness Osmajic looked sharper and more combative. Anyhow time for some red wine - part celebration, part relief but the main thing is our season is still alive.
