Matchday Thread PNE v Ipswich - 03/02/24 - KO:3PM - Championship

Keane, MOM,😂
First goal he shat himself when in space and decided to shoot from way out, scuffed his shot, got a deflection and a goal, 2nd one was a tap in. He then spent the second half miss controlling the ball and giving it straight back to the opposition, couldn’t believe how many times his first touch let him down. 🤬
Another one seriously angry that we won.

Moan, moan, moan.

Complaining that the bloke who carried us to a win against one of the best sides got MOTM is an interesting take for sure. As is posting it on two separate threads

Not gonna lose too much sleep over it. Its the sponsors who often don’t even watch the game

How am I shitting myself?

Jesus Christ you’re a serious loser arnt you, you take this forum and yourself way too seriously.
Occasionally you just point them towards the coffin, they bring their own nails and bang them in for free!!

They did keep insist on playing it out from the back and at times they weren’t very good at it…
Playing out from the back seems to be in vogue at the minute. Sadly (or not sadly if you're playing against them at the time)most clubs do not have the personnel to do it without dropping some serious clangers now and again.

Which I really don’t understand.

I get that McKenna wants them to play like that, but 4 or 5 times they were caught in the press and nearly lost it.

Surely as professional footballers at a very good level they should think ‘shit, I’m in trouble here, let me boot it out’.

I’m glad we don’t play like that. I’d have 6 heart attacks per game!

I hate nothing more in modern football than centre backs taking goal kicks, only to pass it 5 yards sideways to the keeper

What’s the point

Especially on what was a very poor pitch. It seems that a whole generation of Guardiola type managers are coming through and it’s very boring. At the risk of getting my threads mixed up, we need to find a way that’s different to the norm if we’re going to achieve anything. I have no real idea of who or what that different way is. Maybe it’s a manager who’s had a break and is ready to return after spending the last few years researching and studying?
