Matchday Thread Coventry City v PNE -23/02/24 - KO:7.45PM

Didn’t mean the ground. More meant the city in general.

My old man has already been called a ‘Northern cunt’ by someone in a Cov shirt.

Smart people.

The location of the ground is helpful in terms of avoiding central Cov itself.

Not so when I had to get a bus from the ground to the railway station so i could get to London to watch The Cure at the Royal Albert Hall with an Australian dietitian I was seeing at the time.

The local scrotes on the top deck starting lobbing stuff at cars, the cops boarded and threw us all off which wasn’t particularly helpful in my quest to reach South Kensington in time.

Coventry, Hull and Southampton are tough games but the 3 after look winnable , Stoke, Plymouth and Rotherham….
We’ve beaten Leeds,Ipswich, Coventry, Sunderland and Middlesbrough at Deepdale and I feel confident we can do the same to Hull.
After losing 2 out of the last 3 I’d like to think Southampton were wobbling but really don’t expect any points from that game although we came within a whisker of beating them at home.

I'd prefer a back 4 with Hughes and McCann as full backs. McCann gets caught out as a RWB. Just let the back 4 defend and Mads, Millar and Riis run riot.
Attack is the best form of defence for this one.

Hope Browne plays at right wing back as he’s got all the tools and can cross a ball. Alli McCann is a better one on one marker against a winger but isn’t as good going forward as Alan Browne. We’ve always got Jordan Storey alongside to help out and Josh Seary to come on. What could possibly go wrong ?

Another square peg in a round hole again. Nice one Peter! 🙄
