Matchday Thread PNE v Hull City - 02/03/24 - KO:3PM - Championship

Quality touch from Browne today, by the way, to wear ear defenders like the little mascot whose hand he was holding coming out

Considering the nature of this thread, it's definitely worth highlighting this. I have no idea about the little mascot and their situation nor would it be right to speculate, but I am at least aware that often ear defenders are worn by autistic supporters.

I was proud of our captain for showing football should be an inclusive place. Hope the mascots had a great time.

As for the game. 0-0 was fair for me. Hull are very well drilled defensively. A draw keeps them in a reasonable range.

Well I proper enjoyed that game. I thought we played very well but decision making in final third was dodgy at times. Nevertheless a brilliant game and a fair result, although we should have had a pen for the pull back in their box. Still unbeaten COYW.

Oh and Ali McCann just wow today.
I would like to see the Keane appeal again but the Kelly were certainly convinced.
Totally agree about McCann…outstanding.

Never saw the shirt pull as was opening a packet of ready salted. They were going to show a replay but it quickly went down our end.
Neither did I everyone in front of me stood up and they are all taller than me. I had to get a blow by blow account from a friend that sits in the row behind.🙂

No complaints today. Fair result I think.

I was extremely impressed by a couple of the Hull defenders number 2 and 5.

I thought generally we played quite well and on another day would have won the game but we weren't clinical enough in the final third.

Very much so, he is a top notch player and human in general. As someone who used to teach autistic and down-syndrome kids, always good to see them happy and I am quite sure that young man will always remember today.

They defended well though from what I saw.

This is meant to be a thread about the match and, as a mod, regardless if whether your views are valid, you and others are sabotaging this thread for thise of us who want to discuss the match which, by the way, was tense and enjoyable
Don't worry, that particular debate has been permanently banned ended.

The Hull forum in general accepted it was a fair result.
Still the odd "we should be beating teams like...."
Not checked, but where have they finished in the Championship compared to us since their relegation from the PL?
