Matchday Thread PNE v Norwich City - 13/4/24 - KO:3PM - Championship

Players looked knackered after an hour. Fitness remains a serious concern. I understand we have injuries and have played plenty of games, but so have Norwich and they looked a lot fitter then us.

Can’t knock any of their efforts though, Norwich just had better individual quality and a better manager who had a superb gameplan.

You cant stand the guy. I get that, he isnt my cup of tea either.

I saw what happened and he went for bust. Theres been fair criticism, all season, on not going for it but today wasnt that.

This might irk a few but mads was crap today and it was obvious he was coming off. No lack of effort but he just wasnt on it, simple as that.

Its for our directors, now, to back the guy or change him. These players have been falling like flies over the last weeks because they literally are stretching themselves way beyond their limits. The problem has been lack of adequate replacements.

The number of folks on this forum who would be quite happy to see this happen, and still say that we have had a great season, is astonishing. But hey, keep supporting the regime by buying season tickets and who knows, one day we might actually get a top 6 finish.

The very definition of insanity.

I’d be surprised if a single player knew what the game plan was from 75 minutes onwards. A record signing coming off a hat trick pushed out to right midfield, one centre back at right back, another in midfield, our only 20 goal in a season striker for years at right midfield. A total mess. Norwich were nothing to be scared of at all and that was a wasted opportunity. Infuriating.

I Would love to know how PR will shift 16k ST next campaign?

What are the positives and what will make next season better than this after refusing to spend on a specialist rw!
 
I'm just gutted.

Have to be honest I thought taking mads off may have been the right thing to do. Man how fucking wrong I was. We lost all shape when he went off.

The less said about Ossie at RWB the better. That was probably one of the stupidest things I've ever seen

I’m going to be honest, and I know I’ll get stick, but for the money we paid for Osmajic he has to be doing more.

All well and good scoring a hattrick against a bunch of bums but he was horrible today.

Spent more time on the floor than he did affecting the game.

I’ll give him time as it’s his first full season in England but he genuinely offers nothing at times.
