Matchday Thread PNE v Leicester City - 29/04/24 - KO:8PM - Championship

[cragtek]

Don't want a team that wins every week, just want a team that tries to win every week.

Under Lowe it doesn't seem to happen too often.

He's too busy wanting to be everyone's mate.

[sabpne]

It's amazing we're as high up as we are. We seem to have 0 shots on target most games.

[By Tor]

Vardy having a party 🍾 Easiest goal ever. Embarrassing to say the least. Are lads doing a lap of honour at end of game. Might get boo'd off if carries on with total lack lustre BRAND of football.

[Pennyhome]

Back 5 looks so solid 😆

Games gone

Take Browne off and let the fans say goodbye

Fuck all else left to take out of this shite

[Hurlock. T]

One bright note is the Sky commentator being very complimentary of us and respecting our history. Might not seem much, but a nice touch.

Yes he also outlined this respectable history ended in 1961.

[Aqueous]

Looking at the fixtures, we'll finish 12th and have made zero progress. Badges needs to go, it isn't working. There are bigger issues don't get me wrong but he has to go.

[NOBBY STILES]

Well we can be sure Millar isn't going to be here next season he isn't interested at all terrible t from PNE I don't mind my team getting beat to a better team but we offer nothing at all 0 shots on goal pathetic

[grarmy]

Don’t think they will. They have a premier league squad in the championship. Will stay up comfortably. These aren’t a Luton or a shef united. They have experience prem players in their squad. Look at their bench: Justin, drewsbury- hall, praet, choudary. Topnplayers.!

Agree - they should never have gone down. Just cocked it up with caretakers after sacking Rodgers

[cragtek]

Please just rip up his contract and chuck this system in the bin.

[danmpne]

Why are we sitting back when we have nothing to play for? Might as well have a go. So strange.

[simon_pne]

Please just rip up his contract and chuck this system in the bin.

There is a system?

[northend nevets]

Any changes there Ryan? Or are you just gonna stare at your trainers a bit longer?

[Bren27]

I hope Browne does go as with half this overpaid squad, we need to get rid of the deadwood, too many comfy players sucking a wage out of a struggling club.

[alexpne18]

It's amazing we're as high up as we are. We seem to have 0 shots on target most games.

All down to winning 6 in a row.

19 points from 7 games

44 from the the next 38..

[nigelscamelcoat]

Shouldn't we be making a sub or 2 now to try and change the gam or have we just forfeited?

[unconvinced]

It's because our players are literally not that good technically. It has to be made up with effort and desire. Our only chance.

Well, yeah. But it's basic stuff, a pro shouldn't need any more than 3 touches, preferably 2. Receive, control, release.
These clowns want the touches, then turn around and play it backwards.

[Tommmm12345]

Please just rip up his contract and chuck this system in the bin.

[Northern White]

We are not even getting close to them, yes they have loads of money and decent players, but no desire, passion or commitment, shocking performance 🤬🤬

[RibbletonWhite2.0]

The difference between top of championship and bottom half of premierleague is huge.

Agree but Leicester went down with pretty much a top half premier league squad. They finished eight the season before they got relegated. They have lost a couple of players since then but still have got quality. The fact they went down was a complete mismanagement from the manager. They shouldn’t have been in this league in the first place.
