Matchday Thread WBA v PNE 4/5/24 - KO: 12:30 - Championship

1250+ fans went today. Every credit to each one. Considering our absolute hopelessness, it's an incredible turnout away from home at 12.30 kick off.

Any rational, normal, football club would be sacking Lowe and his backroom staff. Every player out of contract should not be offered a new contract. About a dozen others need to go on the transfer list, that includes Woodman, Storey, Hughes and other "established" players.

I'll give the club 48 hours grace to get this done. No ST for me unless they do.
Pity it sounds like many fucked off before the end to vent their frustration, although I can't blame them for not staying.

Manager not good enough and many, many players not good enough. 10th is our ceiling unless big changes are made to the coaching staff and players. This club is painfully tedious to support.

A new manager could have us playing a better style, but no manager could get this disgusting playing squad a top 6 place.

Seary looks like he’s running through treacle. He’s not good enough
Another youngster written off after 10 mins. I tell you what let's stick with the players with plenty of games and defeats behind them. Your answer to our problems seems to be stick with the proven failures (they are experienced) and sod anybody else who dare challenge them even for 10/15 minutes for their shirt. What's your real solution?

Seriously JD, I like your posts but of all the people to call out you pick probably the only two that have stopped us finishing 17th?
One is supposed to be a Captain and Leader (he isn't). Good riddance when he leaves. False "hero".

The other is supposed to be this magical player. He isn't fit to lace McGeadys boots.

We require better than these two but if I had to keep one, it would be Millar.

Thoroughly pissed off (as you can probably tell @OB1)

Anyone who thinks this form won't continue into next season is deluded. Time for a clean break, get a new manager in, target his signings, and prepare for next season.
Never going to happen.

There is not a chance they’ll sack him having just finished 10th.

Lowe will be our manager in August.

But I reckon he won’t be our manager come November.

My answer?

Don’t think I mentioned sticking with anyone.

Why is that?

We were top at the begining and were around the PO's most of the season.

We bottled it because of the tactics of the manager when it mattered!

Anyway, congratulations to the old tractors: thoroughly well deserved. Grand old club from the boardroom down and I hope they make a go of it next year.
Dirty Leeds staying down would be great. I wouldn't be too keen on Saints going up mind. Hopefully Norwich.
Not that arsed about Rovers surviving. Another derby and all that. I just have this worrying premonition that if we fast forward 12 months and find ourselves in the same position as them on the last day of the season we would get twatted by champions elect Burnley and go down without any fuss at all.
The way to prevent this eventuality is to remove Lowe now. And Ridsdale. And pretty much everybody else now you mention it.

Oh! I have a slight positive!

Kian Best came on for the first time in yonks, and he looked comfortable in doing so! If he's planning on being a ball playing centre half, I'd still like him to put a bit of muscle on, but we're certainly crying out for some quality distribution from the back.

What I hate about our manager is we are as bad as we can be and he will manage to put a positive spin on our season... Nothing to look forward to under our present.regime
He needs to speak the truth.

Rather than insulting us.

Tell the truth Ryan, we have been shite.

Back from the match (I follow) Drosss, utter dross. For match analysis see majority of reports for last 45 games.
What is it we can see that the owners/their man cannot. The only message it sends to those that care,us the fans and paying public is they dont give a toss.
