Matchday Thread WBA v PNE 4/5/24 - KO: 12:30 - Championship

I think what the last awful 5 performances do to Lowe is in reality put him under pressure not to have a bad start to next season.I don’t think he will be sacked as we finished 10th but a bad start and he’ll be dismissed.

And that should be a MASSIVE issue for anyone at the club. Because you're probably right. But by doing it that way, all we do is ensure that a new manager won't get their say in the recruitment or planning for next season, effectively letting Lowe fuck up another year even if he gets potted a month in.

We need to pull the plaster off, make the change and give a new manager the ability to recruit for HIS tactics, not be stuck with no wingers and no fullbacks because RL is wedded to his 5-3-2!

Quite simply, he's out of his depth and the players know it. I honestly believe they've blanked him out since Christmas and there's no way Browne will re-sign or Millar will return if "El- fantasticccho" remains as manager. Ridsdale and Lowe must be the only people who have any confidence in Lowe's ability to improve IF he is still here next season. The players have given up, the fans have given up and if he was an honorable man, he would throw his hands up and walk away from the mess he's responsible for. He won't, of course, because he wants his coin. One year's salary for fooking up everything he's touched for over 2 years... can I have some of that please Ridler?

Lowe will be claiming progress because we’ve finished 10th, but we’ve lost out last 5 games without scoring a goal, so htf can that be progress.

I’m sick of our season ending by the end of March every season. This club is toxic, and it doesn’t seem to matter who the Manager is, we tend to finish the season in flip flops. There is one common denominator, and that is Ridsdale, and he needs removing immediately, closely followed by Lowe.

Alan Nixon has 3 pieces on us tomorrow…..let’s hope all 3 are with regards to possible takeovers.
Unfortunately neither Ridsdale or Lowe are going anywhere with the Hemmings clan still at the helm.
I know we should be careful what we wish for but I suspect most Nobbers are absolutely desperate for a change.

The 3 pieces will be Evans, Cunningham and Woodburn signing extensions

Never his fault.

Times up.
Should be but it isn't. Said himself today that the start of next season will be vital. So he's clearly already had that conversation with Ridsdale.

Which from a fans point of view is frustrating as the obvious approach would be fresh break with a new coach, formation and players recruited to fit.

Clubs not toxic, that's the likes of Birmingham and Reading.

We are though, to quote Partridge, moribund.

I've always been a 'be careful what you wish for' in respect of the ownership and have been reasonably happy with the funds that the Hemmings have put in (albeit being hyper critical of the Waldorf they employed to spend it).
However, if it takes a change of owner to get rid of firstly Ridsdale and then Lowe, so be it.
I still can't really get my head around Ridsdale being the face of PNE, our beloved Club, it's just wrong.
Lowe will go sooner or later anyway, one way or another, so as irritating as Lowe is, Ridsdale is the real drain and detrimental factor within the Club.

Went to the game today and it was absolutely shocking.

After two and a half years of watching Lowe’s football, I’ve had enough. The team hasn’t progressed at all since Neil’s rein.

I don’t know if I can take another season of Lowe. Bored shitless most games.
Fair play to you for going 👍
What was the reaction like from the fans at full time? (if you stayed til the end)

Couldn’t watch today, could someone summarise in 5 or fewer words how shit we were?
You made the right choice.

I watched an hour and couldn't stomach anymore. He's going absolutely nowhere unfortunately and his post-match interview borders on delusion.

Apathy has set in for me. Can't relate in any way, shape or form to Lowe and feel the players he has had at his disposal he should have done better than 7 blanks in the last 8 and the 3 wins in the last 12 games were against two relegated sides and a team that finished 21st.

He won't accept or think he's the problem, and he might not be the sole problem, but the longer he stays at the helm, the deeper the damage will be I feel both on and off the pitch.

We've gone stagnant, 1pt better off the two Simon Grayson 11th place finishes (62pts) and I felt before Larry went to Sunderland he'd probably hit his peak here. McGeady got us on the edge of our seats in an otherwise pretty drab season, similar echoes to this.

August isn't far enough away for me at the moment.

Tell you what Bayside, I enjoyed the 2 Grayson seasons a hell of alot more than these last 2 seasons. McGeady or no McGeady

So much change needed and only 3 months for it to happen.
