Didn't Oxford spend £3.5m on a Dutch midfielder breaking their Transfer Record thus making it PNE with the lowest budget?

That suggests that maybe there was money available to spend on some attacking players but they pulled the money, when they knew that there was serious interest in buying the club……

I think they have a fixed budget of around £5m per season all in. This has to stretch across the two windows though.

They have raised quite a bit through player sales this summer though to aid them:

Brittain sold for £2.5m
Rankin Costello sold for £1m
Buckley sold for £1m
Travis sold for £2.5m
Leonard is about to be sold for £1m to Posh.

It is rumoured that they have self imposed a 10k a week wage cap. This might hinder them in the British market, but not in the lesser heard of places abroad. Baradji and Moroshita are two steals. Gudjohnsen would be another. Really don't want Browney going there.

Sorry, but regrading The two deals is that players ore interested parties regarding buying the club

Still scarred after the whole Cannon saga that went on all summer long.

Learned that its best to believe credible journalists rather than the ones working for Talksport and TEAMtalk.
 
Interesting comments by PH In his latest interview on BBC. "If he was at a different club, his team would probably look a lot different" hinting at what he might be capable of given more to play with indirectly?

okkels deal could be announced today. Poor guy never got a proper chance, we just don't play in a system were he will get any real game time.

As for incomings...
Might take until deadline day to get them over the line.
