Apparently there is an agreed price should Greenwood want to stay and PH want to keep him end of the season of £1.5million. However it is also reported that he is our current highest wage earner on £30,000 per week. Do we want to keep him and if so can we afford his wages?

Not for me. In his recent cameo's off the bench, he has had minimal impact on the game and certainly hasn't improved us in those appearances. Mads also doesn't look as effective with him on the pitch and I'd much rather have Mads starting every game then wasting money on Greenwood.

Agree

Greenwood has been off it for a good while now.

If we had to give an answer today if to sign him or not, I’d say no.

I imagine Leeds would have to subsidise £10k a week until the remainder of his contract regardless, but even at £20k, I don't think we can warrant him being our highest earner as he is.
Your probably right tbf

First half of the season he looked decent but his forms dropped of a cliff since Xmas

I think he could be a handy signing still but not really bothered if he moves on .

i think the issue for us with Greenwood is that we have probably spent a chunk of the summer budget on Gibson which is looking a good acquisition and if we only have 2 or 3 million more to spend do you want to spend that on a player who currently is behind Mads as the 10 if we are playing only 1 and we have loads of other positions to fund as well.

Not for me, especially not at that price and those wages. Needs to step up his game and actually influence games. No surprise he’s been dropped recently, even the manager can see it

He reminds me of Harrop and Woodburn. Clearly, he is better than both but like them, while he has the technical ability, he is lightweight, too easily dispossessed and goes missing in games.

I suppose you could say 'who can we get that's better for £1.5m?' but that's not a reason to sign him, so it's a 'no' from me too.

Why have we started this thread so early ffs
Because the winter window is closed and the summer transfer window is next, and if we were to sign Greenwood, which is being discussed in the included article, it would have to be in the Summer Transfer Window or hadn’t you realised that?
