I'm a proponent of playing our fringe players here. Injuries can derail our season, and we have a lot of players still building up fitness.
Are you on the wind up DD? Common knowledge that profits from cup run go straight back to Revitt.Go as strong as possible. We need to get in the next round. A good draw would give us enough to sign another player.

100%
I couldn’t give a shit about the FA cup this year, would rather be out of it and save the players.
Imagine if we’d had a good League Cup run and had key players injured as a result. I’d be well pissed off.
I normally love the FA cup, but not this season.

A cup run is only alright for lesser teams if you've got newt to play for. Yet it still was one of the reasons that got us dragged into a relegation scrap last season.100%

Fringe players + youth players. Regular starters on the bench.
Not too many though!!There was actually people on here saying that Hecky was no better than Lowe.

I genuinely thought that was a quote from when Lowe was here, maybe after we had played Bristol City under him, until I saw the WAFC hashtag at the end. Just goes to show that a leopard doesn't change its spots.

He’ll no doubt say the player’s didn’t follow his game plan and their ‘levels’ were wrong.
He was such a crap manager.
We obviously need to rest and protect those carrying knocks and those who’ve played the most minutes. In my opinion, that’s Hughes, Whiteman, Iversen, Offiah and possibly Lewis because he’s played more this last week than he has for a year. I’d maybe even improvise at centre half if there’s a way to protect all 3 of them.
Having said that, the manager and the fitness staff have to be trusted.

Really? Last season PR said the budget is given, and anything else generated by the club can be kept and added to the budget. Are you on the wind up DD? Common knowledge that profits from cup run go straight back to Revitt.
Great chance for any player needing match fitness like Osmajic, Potts, Pol etc. a bit of youth mixed in and chance to try stuff. Result irrelevant.
Be quite ironic if Deepdale becomes his last game as a manager - again.
Result is very relevant. Let's keep the winning mentality going.Great chance for any player needing match fitness like Osmajic, Potts, Pol etc. a bit of youth mixed in and chance to try stuff. Result irrelevant.
Don't rest Iversen, hopefully won't have much to do against this Wigan team.
By all means start top players who need to build up match fitness (Osmajic, McCann, Thompson, Jebbo) but don't start multiple youngsters and make this a difficult night which goes to extra time.

Back in 1964 we finished the season in 3rd place and it has been said that our run to the FA Cup Final cost us a top two promotion place. I don’t want any cup run costing us an automatic promotion or top six place.
By all means give those who are returning from injury but require match fitness a run out. But not those who have been starting/playing regularly, let them have a proper rest, or at least if needs be, put them on the subs bench. By doing this we should still be still too strong for Wigan and if not, so what?
