Brazil and Mexico are at risk of invasion . So he's less likely to go there . That greatly increases our chances .Brazil, Spain, Mexico or Preston?
I wonder where he’ll choose?!

Can probably rule this one out lads, Girona spent 6 million euros on him and just rejected 3 million from a Mexican club.
Bloody hell. I didn’t know that rule. That’s my January move to the San Siro knackered. He can't play in Serie A anymore due to being fit with an internal defibrillator device so his contract has been terminated. Unless he has it removed at some point 😄

Makes you think what happened to the money from last seasons cup run .Wonder if we’re waiting to see if we get through tonight and whether we get a money spinning 4th round tie before we punt on a new signing?

The loan fees and wages for the lads we have brought in won’t have been cheap, we also paid over £1M for Offiah, and even the lads we got for ‘free’ (Pol and Smith) will have wanted either a signing on fee or enhanced wages in lieu of a signing on fee.Makes you think what happened to the money from last seasons cup run .

….. the club also said they’d paid off outstanding instalments on a number of players we already had (e.g. Milly), so that would probably have accounted for anything that was left. The loan fees and wages for the lads we have brought in won’t have been cheap, we also paid over £1M for Offiah, and even the lads we got for ‘free’ (Pol and Smith) will have wanted either a signing on fee or enhanced wages in lieu of a signing on fee.
Was reading in the i yesterday on the aftermath of Ryan Mason's sacking for West Brom that they actually signed Alfie Gilchrist for just over 1m from Chelsea last summer.
So they probably are genuinely asking for fee in that region for Castledine given Gilchrist had featured ten times for Chelsea in prem and scored a goal.
A few people were doing double takes at that figure quoted but ultimately he is still unproven above league one level.

This will probably win most random rumour of the window.
Reminds me of De La Fuente getting linked one summer a few years ago.
He's had a random few years. 3 games for Olympiacos and then moved to Lausanne-Sport and now at Ceuta on season loan who are in Spanish second division. Last capped by USA in 2021 so not going to be involved in the World Cup.

He's ended up going for £2m plus a big sell on clause. Was reading in the i yesterday on the aftermath of Ryan Mason's sacking for West Brom that they actually signed Alfie Gilchrist for just over 1m from Chelsea last summer.

Now WE are TALKING.
Who's bringing the white stuff to the next home game to welcome him to Deepdale?

Is worth noting that during his time off from management when sacked at Sheffield United that Heckingbottom went over to Girona to watch training.
But that’s pretty pie in the sky, it’s almost like tracking flights waiting for potential signings it’s just not reasonable…
