Can probably rule this one out lads, Girona spent 6 million euros on him and just rejected 3 million from a Mexican club.
3 million Mexican pesos, £1.2 million

Castledine went/is going for 2m in the end
No chance. He’s thrived at Champ level. If we try and negotiate it down, then they’ll bump it up and flog him elsewhere to someone that’ll pay 5, 6, 7m for himJust seen it. Pretty good signing for Boro that. Can get him in the building and have him learning their style as will be long term replacement for Hayden Hackney when they eventually sell him for 20m.
Again it shows these young players at prem clubs don't cost endless millions. I reckon the Devine fee could be negotiated down a bit, smacks very much of a Daniel Levy clause and now he's no longer at Spurs.
Aye. But only at the agreed price. If we try and offer lower we’re effectively saying we aren’t triggering his option, at which point Spurs are free to whore him out to whoever will pay the mostI think the option to buy means we have first refusal?
I thought in this case we have agreed a fee with Spurs (4.5m) but would still need to agree the personal terms with Alfie. I’m sure someone will correct if I’m wrong.I think the option to buy means we have first refusal?

Snap!Bloody hell. I didn’t know that rule. That’s my January move to the San Siro knackered.
Castledine has gone for 2m off the back of 6 months at Lg 1 level so 4.5m for Devine off the back of 3 successful loans including 12 months at the top of the Championship is a steal.Depends who else wants to pay it. Boro aren't paying 7m for Devine when they can get Castledine for 2m for example.
Bristol City getting George Earthy instead for loan and probably minimal fee.
Burnley would be a concern with their general transfer strategy in last few years.
I was also reading the other week Birmingham want to sign Patrick Roberts permanently, 1m was the quoted fee! That feels ridiculously low for a proven top end championship player.
Coventry signed KKH in the end for about 3m didn't they?
If a prem club wants him that is a different story, we'll see come the summer.
To be fair when we first signed him I thought he had bigger potential than nugent. The 06-07 season he was unplayable at the start. His career just seemed to nose dive after a few seasons. Reminds me of dele alli. Maybe he had off field issues who knows. When we signed him Bury fans said he was better than Nugent. Their careers ended up in completely different directions. Last time I saw Whaley play was for Chorley against Fylde. He was subbed after about an hour.
