Confirmed Lee Nicholls Signs

Don’t know anything about him and signing a back up keeper is not going to get the fans excited but welcome to Deepdale Lee.

Seen him play against us for Huddersfield 2/3 times, don't recall any others, Mk Dons etc, but always thought he was okay

Dreadful last 2 seasons at Huddersfield but decent before. He’ll be nearer to 40 when this bonkers contract expires.

Debut will be against his former employers.

He’s kind of bound to be nearer to 40 then but he’s 33 now and it’s a two plus one deal apparently.

If we’re being harsh enough to round 33 up to 40 then @raefil has a shot at being classed the oldest man in the world

As someone who turns 50 next year I am in no place to highlight age. Merely raising an eyebrow to another contract to a bang average player (generous assessment) that will expire when they are nearly 37.

I’m not a huge fan of this signing, but I’m not too concerned for a goalkeeper. Natural progression to training keeper before retirement so not the end of the world

Will be better than Walton and Cornell I'm sure.

Was first choice when Huddersfield finished 3rd in 21/22 and Warnock called him one of the best keepers in the championship when he took over (although that could just be him hyping up players as they were all but down when he turned up).

Not sure what has happened last few years for him to suddenly play less games with them back in league one. 23 games in 24/25 and just 8 last year so I'm guessing a combination of injuries, their constant changes of head coach and also probably one of their highest earners so tried to get rid of him before?

Still him and Iversen will be strongest pair of keepers the club has had in a long time so now it's a case of trying to improve outfield positions on the current miniscule budget.

He played 40 games in all competitions last year. It says 8 on Wikpedia, but I assume that's just because it hasn't been updated for a while.
