Oh Gerona, I’m so so sorry to read this.
Heartbreaking for yourself, family and everyone involved in your lives.
May she rest in peace and please take care of yourself and your family at this devastating time.

I’m so sorry to hear this Gerona. It truly is hard to find the right words, but rest in peace to your daughter.

I know things will be like a whirlwind in your head right now - I’m sure others on here that have experienced similar can echo this, even if all our stories are different.

I imagine your focus is on your family right now, but if you do need that extra bit of support or even someone to offload on there are groups out there like Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide - Overcoming the isolation of people bereaved by suicide

Hi Roland,

Sorry to hear about Rachel and the troubles she went through, this seemingly had been building up for a number of years. I know you won't be able to share much about the complaint you've raised in regards to the support she got (or perhaps didn't get) but hopefully lessons are learnt.
 
I know that the last few years have been very difficult for @Gerona and his family.

I encouraged him to post on this thread and the response from our community has been a comfort to the family.

As a forum we reached out to see how we could support them during this sad time.

If anyone would like to make a charitable donation we request you make it to the Mary O'Gara Foundation.

This will also be the charity nominated for any contributions for the funeral later this month.

They offer support, guidance and suicide prevention/stigma support in the local area in memory of Mary. Alan Kelly & Andy Lonergan are ambassadors and they also have links to the PNE CET.

Many of us have had our own experience with suicide and mental health difficulties and I also know how valuable this section of the forum is.

Roland and his wife are two wonderful people and my heart is with them and all the family at this sad time.

Mental health is a killer just like cancer but has a stigma attached to it unfairly.

Can I thank Lancashire Constabulary for their kindness and professionalism in dealing with the tragic incident on the M55 at Fulwood.
To the kind hearted person who called the police and looped back to stay with her I am forever in your debt.

Difficult to reply to this R and anything that I can say won't help. All you can do as a family now is stick together. It's a parents worst nightmare

God knows how you cope with something like that when it's your child.. Parents snuffing it is just the way of the world and natural but it reminds me of a very upsetting line in Gladiator.... " No parent should ever have to bury their child "........... This is awful mate and I wish I could be helpful but I know that I can't because you as a family have to deal with it yourselves as best you can.

As someone that battling Mental Health everyday and know the Stigma, I am so sorry for you loss. Condolences to you, your family and her Friends. I hope you fight on and help break the Stigma's around mental health in your Daughter's Memory. I don't know the story to this, but there are many Stories to mental health and the tragedy it leaves behind and yet breaking the Stigma's is extremely hard.I know my words won't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but please keep fighting for your Daughter, Granddaughter an the millions out there. R.I.P your Daughter.

I have never been more determined in my life.
Those who know of me know I am a dog with a bone till I get answers.
I owe that to my grandson.
