Thankyou Simon Whaley!!

Thankyou Simon Whaley!!

But he wasn't played mate.

Thats what was doing my head in. If the bloke who replaced him had some quality i could accept it,but we had Sedgwick lumping up and down the few yards either side of the halfway line.

Poor management in my book.

your entitled to your opinion but i think your very wrong about sedg and i know hes not a world beater, but hes more consistant than whaley. I'm not dismissing whaley cos i reckon he could be a real top player for us. Si Has bags of potential. He also has plenty of pace which sedg lacks.

But i'd wish whaley would just perform like he did when we first signed him.

Does Thor watch Whaley in training every day of the week or something to know he deserves his place? What a pathetic comment to make about him not being picked because of Irvines moronic team selections.

Another reason he might not have been given a chance earlier is because there's been no reserve games played for him to show his manager what he can do, leading to him being loaned out.

When a trully foolish post is required,Bigshow can always be relied on.

Waley was ok today he started off very brightly but was not as involved in the 2nd half. Not his fault Ipswich were the beter team.

We do suffer defensively when Sedgwick is out, Billy Jones was average at best today and got exposed a lot. Perhaps he missed Sedgwick?🙂

I thought that aswell. How did Jones play at Southampton? I only saw the highlights and he backed off Saganowski for about 20 yards and practically gifted them a goal. I'm not slating the lad because he is one of our consistently best performers, just interested to know.

First half he was very very good. Not as good in the second, but a welcome sign to see him getting back to the level he was once at. Cracking ball to Elliott in the lead up to the penalty.

I fully agree with this post. He looked a different player first half, second half he was a lot more quieter. One thing I have noticed, is that he looks like he has built up a lot more muscle on the top half of his body.

Reasonable first half and could have been subbed at half time for all the good he was second half. Whaley has had good games before only to revert back - I hope this time he goes forward and uses the talent he has - then he will deserve his selection

Let's just hope that the penny has dropped for Simon. He certainly has quality but will he now string a few performances together. If he finally starts to realise his potential then we could have the best 2 wingers in the division, the fear is that Simon goes AWOL.

He had a good game today, and showed signs of what he can do when he tries, however, what the hell was that hair cut about, was he trying to impress thor?:gentry:

I thought he was poor. Based on the fact he cannot beat a man, cannot cross, cannot track back, cannot pass. What did he do?

He had a good first half, got in some good crosses and looked threatening. 2nd half he disappeared. Its about time he got his finger out and put in a decent performance for us. Everyone knows he's got quality, lets just hope he realises it and keeps his place.

He played well!! Silly twats who think otherwise

I have to agree, many have an agenda against him. Just about everything he did today was positive. He looks like he's rebuilding himself as a player and a person and I wish him well. Its really sad so many are clearly against him.

ok fella so he didnt intercept and break down the ipswich attacks, he didnt put a ball in for elliot to win a penalty , must of been someone else, i must of watched the wrong game.

I do agree though he went quiet in the 2nd half but no fucker gave him the ball

He had a fairly decent first half to be honest, put a few crosses in but didn't do anything that Chris Sedgwick couldn't do.

Second half he was invisible. It was only when him and Ross Wallace swapped wings on about 70mins that I realised he was still in the pitch.

Thor is basically a one subject pony. He has displayed in many posts that he knows about as much as the tramp when it comes to the current North End team and he will go on proving this when he talks about nothing more than Whaley/Sedgwick.

He was ok, nothing else. .

Is that not something to build on? When Whaley's okay he's our best right winger.

I don't know what people expected from a low confidence unfit winger today? A man of the match performance would still have been greeted with jeers by many as he has been so poor for so long.

I'm glad he's improving, personally I thought he was better than okay he was effective. And that's progress.
