I've just listened to the interview that Irvine gave to SSN and I must say I'm pretty disappointed.
In the interview Irvine stated that a month ago he said 75 points would be enough. Not only is it uneccesary for a manager to lay down a marker (which should have been more than reachable at that specific time) but a month ago we were only 2 or 3 wins off the automatic. Yet instead of aiming for above us Irvine seems to have sent the message to the players that the playoffs is the best that they could have hoped for.
Aswell as the above surely saying we need 75 points is letting the players know they can afford to lose a game or two? When Irvine surely should have been trying to install the belief that every game is winnable.
Whatever happened to taking every game at a time?
😱
