Last time the Mancs came it was a pre-season friendly and I seem to recall they smashed up seats on the BSK stand purely because of its name and pic of Shankley on the seats. It gives a good reasoned argument against giving them the entire kop. Anyways most of them will be in their usual seats next to the telly so may not fill the kop anyway!

Whilst I think anyone who follows the team away a lot deserves credit I expect the club would rightly expect that most who do travel are already season ticket holders.

The database checks need to be done and I do like the coventry ticket idea but must be done in conjunction with those checks.

Agreed Bare Lane. The point I'm making is that season ticket holders have first dib and then those who have been to a lot of away games have the opportunity to purchase the remainder. The debate is,'how many tickets should STs be allocated'.
 
Even if you are not an ST holder, as many exiles are not, North End will have all the details on their database of who has bought tickets for the games they could attend this season.

I see no reason why people who are on that database and have bought tickets this season should have to miss this game.

I hope and expect that the database is closed for the time being.

For the long-term future of the club, fix the seating, remove the banners! The more PNE fans there the better!!!
 
Not sure why all the fuss , average attendance around 9-10,000 leaves around 7000 extra home fans so those who really want one will get one , me i would give them 15% of the allocation and house them in the TF stand then give pne fans both ends , its not rocket science

6500 Ambassadors / Season ticket holders guaranteed

1200 who went to Sheffield (but many will be season ticket holders already)

Next priority to anyone on database already AND they buy a ticket for coventry game.- maybe 4000?

That leaves about 5000. Rather than put them on open sale, I'd let ambassadors have second dabs at getting an extra ticket and trust them not to give them to plastic mancs.
 
We ve 3 season tickets and will be buying 1 per ticket.( even if 2 are available)

My theory is that lets the other fans have a chance - those who would go down to Deepdale and queue for open sale.

My cynical side says that some season ticket holders would buy 2 and give one to a mate rather than a fan. ( sorry)
 
Normally we would just get 1per st but if offered more I might get one for an old mate who used to come on all of the time. It might get him back interested. I will ask him first, no point in wasting it.

Unfortunately, that's not how it works for most of us. I've got family members who go on perhaps 6 games a season... but not one will have been registered on the database. I'd say that 90% of my tickets aren't registered either. Just go to the ticket office on matchday, hand over my cash and get a ticket... no record of who I am.

I've bought a couple by post this year, so at least I've got those recorded.








Edit..... if I'd been in charge, I would have agreed HOW and WHEN tickets would be sold, before last night. Everything would have been typed up (but not published) on the website, and press releases would have been prepared. By 9am this morning, I'd have pressed the "go" button!

If you tell them your customer number when you buy tickets the transaction will be logged. The number is on St books and on the plastic card we got when we joined the Mypne thing. Alternatively give them your name and address when you buy tickets. The transaction will then be linked to your account.

Thanks Fred. Appreciated. I do know that but the other point (that I didn't bother mentioning) is that 9 times out of 10, it's not me who actually goes to the ticket office. Just send one of the younger relatives to scoot round while I park the car... or a mate buying them for me. Pissing around giving them my customer number then feels like too much of a hassle.
