Poor at Wigan .. one of the best players vs Hull his touch and dilly dally on ball is so frustrating!
Good squad player can play 2,4,6,8 not a starter in this squad not defo not captain.

He lost ball tonight 25 yards from their goal..with 4/5 bodies around Box they countered and just dragged it wide (Washington shot) he was just about at half way line jogging back that’s our captain.

Passionate hungry player lacks quality when likes of McCann are on bench.

Yet also it was his perfect reverse through ball, dragging 3 defenders away with him that crafted our best chance of the game.

And him and DJ being taken off coincided with the loss of pressure we had.

Can't see the need to start scapegoating in a performance where only poor finishing denied us a dominant win.

So our captain who started as one of two players playing off TP is ok to play one good pass in 81min+ and that’s enough against a team who offered very little and had 37% of the ball? I get it’s about opinions but u can’t say he had a good game tonight nor DJ.

Simply not affective creates little takes too long on ball.. he has good games when he runs, presses and tackles…people are getting fed up with it tbh.

Poor at the moment, not justifying his selection ahead of McCann.

Ledson has now given him even more problems as he deserves a start ahead of Browne on current play.
 
Browne and DJ have formed the heartbeat of our midfield now for the last 8 years. It's getting a bit predictable and tiresome. We need to change and upgrade both. I'd give them until the end of this season then move them on.
 
Literally all our momentum died last night when Woodburn and McCann came on. Browne and DJ were a key part of us sustaining pressure for a good 20 minute period in the second half.

Don't see what McCann offered when he came on that suggested he should have started last night's game, he's more suited to start at the weekend
 
He's frustrating for sure - the number of times he gave the ball away in the first half !! but 2nd half (and I thought this in the Hull game as well) his work rate was excellent and really helped the team maintain momentum and pressure by winning 2nd balls and like other posters have said we lost the midfield dominance that we had when he was hooked - suspect he was knackered . I suppose if he could do everything he'd be playing at a higher level.
