Dunno, that's pretty much our policy isn't it - pay fuck all for a player and hope it comes good. 😉It really is unbelievable - that type of thing will never happen again in my lifetime.
Free transfers for out of contract players - yes. But actually paying such a pittance for two players that go on to play so many games - no.
Alan Browne
I'll cut a finger off for every goal they score.Browne has a very good chance of starting against France tomorrow night at a sell out Lansdowne Road….Brady possibly on bench too.

He just shot wide. The frogs are very annoying and not quite as good as they think they are. The pink fairy does ponce about but he is admittedly the best player on the field. The Irish were unlucky at the end not to sneak a draw with the goalie making a good save there.
I’ll hold my hands up but a few weeks ago I had my criticisms of Browne and thought he deserved not to be in the first XI, but this season he has been playing like the Browne of old, hopefully he can contribute to a few goals like he used to do.

Been good for ages now, but because he isn't playing in the role where he scored double figures, people don't appreciate his work. Once again stuck in, body on the line, plays intelligent passes, leads by example.

Maybe a little bit wummy to say this but, it seems like for a little while that there has been a bit of stale air hanging round the club and over this summer someone has opened a window and it has blown away.
Have to say that some of the players appear to have a new spring in their steps.
Maybe it's just that Lowe has instilled a new sense of belief into the players ability, maybe I am seeing something that isn't there but the players just seem, well, for want of a better word, happier?
Whatever it is, long may it go on.

Agree. He has definitely come back fitter and stronger and not needing to carry DJ must helpI've been critical of AB, but isn't it funny you play a player in his preferred position and he shines 🤷
Maybe I am wrong, but I would like to believe the owners have started to take an interest, can you imagine if Craig Hemmings turned up and showed some support, giving the squad the belief that not just the manager, but the owners had a genuine interest in how the squad were progressing, wanting them to do well?Maybe a little bit wummy to say this but, it seems like for a little while that there has been a bit of stale air hanging round the club and over this summer someone has opened a window and it has blown away.

Strange innit ?... Same with McCann 🙂
I think Lowe is learning quite quickly now in his managerial career, it is better to play your players in their preferred and best position, playing them out of position isn't going to benefit them or the team. Now he has stated to do that, the difference is obvious, Browne and McCann being obvious examples.Strange innit ?... Same with McCann 🙂
Ali is happy now where he plays best, and Alan Browne is a different player this season, let's hope it continues, makes it a lot better for the team when the players can put out their best performances in a role that they enjoy and can give their upmost. Everyone can see the difference in Browne and McCann's contributions, and it makes the team overall better and more balanced.
