This thread does what it says on the tin. I'm interested to know how he got on, got a good 20 mins.
 
From what some have said on here about him, surely 20mins was enough for him to grab a hat-trick and win us the game 😛

He was only on for 20 minutes. Looked just a kid in a team in a bit of disarray in the 2nd half. We need some pros and leadership on the field - we could have conceded a hatful in the last 20.
 
Tried hard to impress and only lost the ball once in possession. Only becomes obvious how he needs to beef up a bit when you see him against seasoned pros.
Did himself no harm whatsoever in my opinion and I look forward to seeing more of him in better circumstances.

From my seat did well for a debut, nothing outstanding nor anything bad to report. He won't make an immediate impact, but definately one that if managed correctly can have a promising career in North End

Fair comment. He looked lightweight, and was too easily knocked off the ball, but he is tricky and his debut appearance was okay for a young lad, and will have done him good. DF gave him something like twenty minutes on the pitch, which was long enough for the lad to feel part of the team and contribute something, which he did. No complaints about him at all.

at 19 years old was you not a bellend?????????????if you have got to that age ..............hes a good lad who made a major mistake,let him do his talking on the pitch, as his and all other players misdamenours have nowt to do with you.and by the tone of your message everyone is a bellend until proven otherwise???????????yes?so prove you aren't by saying something constructive

He won two corners! The only negative was that when Mellor wanted Mayor to take a quick throw in to put him clean through, Mayor had his back turned wondering when Jones was going to come and take the ball off him.

Way out of his depth coming on in a match with 20 minutes to go that was already lost?

Bit harsh isn't it?

He did more in that 20 minutes than some of our supposed wingers have done this season in certain matches. Winning us a corner was more than say for example Paul Parry did at Cardiff away and he was on the pitch for an hour +.

Anyway time will tell if he is up to it, just glad that one of the youngsters got a run out.
